Dr. Stephen Lynn Nord, MD

Had surgery for my knee in Feb. its now Aug. and still having pain. Have to walk with a cane now. His staff is incompetent. Had me come in for an appt. ,sat in the waiting room for 15mins. before a nurse said "Oh, Dr Nord isn't even in today." Sorry we gave you the wrong date. Come back in 2 days only to find out they hadn,t called my insurance to find out If I was covered for a procedure. Come back another day. In the mean time I,m in alot of pain. He never showed me Xrays on the extent of my surgery. I feel it wasn,t done right and an now going to a third doc. Someone NOT in the Aurora System. They all stick up for each other and keep pushing you off to other Drs. who do nothing but more tests and X-rays . Don,t use Aurora Doctors

I have a knee injury. Dr. Nord was a compleate waste of time and money. I would not recommend him to anyone. It took longer for me to pull up my pant leg then he was in the room. I was still trying to ask basic questions as he was leaving the room... He made extra vissits for things he could of told me the first vissit. Very unprofessional...

My Husband had a partial need replacement. He was a Letter Carrier with a walking route and was told that the recovery time would be approximately 6 weeks, which is what he told his supervisor. Immediately after surgery, the Dr. came was while my husband was in recovery, he said to me that he had to take huge chunk out of my husband's knee. This concerned me because; he seemed sincerely surprised to the large amount. it was a partial knee replacement and I had to wonder if it should have been a full replacement, since I would have thought before deciding partial verses full knee replacement he should have had an idea on how damaged the knee was. His first appointment after surgery (two weeks) Dr. Nord had to take out 60 cc of blood. He told him not to do any physical therapy, no work, spent literally two minutes with Brian, and told him to come back in a month. Then after a month he drained 120 cc's of blood, spent another two minutes with him, again, no physical therapy, no… work and come back in another month. My husband had to go back to work, so he did on the terms of two hours to set up his route, which was not pleasing to his employer. His knee hurt least as much as before he went in for the partial replacement. Finally, Dr. Nord wanted to go back into surgery to "fix something", my husband had to retire, since in order to have anything further done, since no income was coming in. I told my husband find another surgeon!!!!!!!!!!!

Doctor More did my total knee replacement surgery, I'm still recovering from the surgery. Had it done on 11-13-2015. I have been in lot's of pain before I was sent to him. He was the only one who knew what was wrong with my knee. He also was the one who caught my fiance tear in his tendon. My opinion he is a great doctor

I had a torn meniscus he saw the MRI and scheduled Surgery for me. It has been 2 weeks post op. I am still in the same amount of pain and there is still the same amount of swelling. I went to see him today and he would hardly answer my questions .. He answered 2 questions and left the room because I was asking questions he was not prepared to answer or did not want to answer. They left me in the room for 10-15 minutes wondering if I was done or not .. I got up and walked outside the room asking If I was done. I asked if he would prescribe the ice machine for me ..He said he is not an ice person so he would not recommend it. I wonder if they taught bed side manner in doctor school cause he sucks at it.

He was extremely demeaning and rude, and was flirting and hitting on me and I'm only thirteen! He needs crutches to walk, yet they allow him to do surgery. When he was going through the MRI, he didn't even know where the cervical area of the spine ended and the thoracic began...and he's doing surgery. He made my mom feel like she was crazy and the pain was in her head and provided no direction whatsoever. We had to wait over two hours and had to endure his stupidity for ten minutes before he walked out the door.

Very knowledgeable about shoulder injuries. He has been very prompt with appts. Explained my injury in a way i could understand it. Helped me deal with the headache of workmans comp. Have surgery schedualed and he has put me at ease about it. Great doctor. Smart and even showed me th pics and explained how myvshouldervwill be fixed. Highly recommend him.

Never returned my call even know I called and left msg. 4 times, I scheduled appt. to see him, he came in late, was very short and wanted me to get out of there ASAP so he can go to the next patient. If you can read this review prior to seeing him I would recomend not to waits your time. Also, when I sugessted a particular test -per another doctor, Dr. Nord said that test cost $3,000 I'm not going to recomend that. Worst doctor ever.

He preformed shoulder and knee replacements on my 76 year old mother she is doing great . thanks doc!

I spoke to Dr. Nord on the phone when he was an on-call doc over the weekend. His bedside manner over the phone was very poor. I was looking for medical advice regarding pain control after a surgery and he was quick to judge and slow to give helpful suggestions. I understand with the high level of prescription medication abuse in this culture it is important to be weary of calls regarding pain control. However, I felt he was being accusatory rather than helpful. After this short frustrating encounter with him I will never use him again or refer him to anyone.
