Dr. Steven J. Ravich, MD

Steven J. Ravich, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, is most deserving of recognition for his years of devotion to the medical profession and the public. Answering all questions, he doesn’t hurry you, he puts you at ease, and his skills match his personality. But more than that, he is truly compassionate. His staff adore him, his other patients in the waiting room can’t say enough good things about him, and the entire orthopedic office staff is just as friendly and as compassionate as he is. The continuum of care delivered across the board can only happen when the lead in an organization appreciates the “care team approach” and expresses it to the clients they care for. I singled out Dr. Ravich because he took a risk with me when others refused to help. We worked together to achieve a goal, which would have been impossible without him. I know he has done the same with others, because I met some of his patients who live out of state, just to return for an orthopedic visit with him. The… personification of a caring physician, the compassion of a human being, and the humor of a true, professional “icebreaker” to make patients feel more comfortable and at ease. In short: a true mensch. Grateful to have him available on Long Island for all our family’s needs.

I had a great experience with Dr. Ravich. He took his time to explain my leg injury thoroughly. He seems very knowledgeable and is very articulate. I trusted him. He got me what I needed and on my way. I would recommend seeing him for any sports related injury.

I had a neck injury and the dr did not take it seriously and after a few visits he tells me to go to another doctor when in fact he could of dealt with it but decided to blow me off and send me elsewhere without helping me. i was very disappointed. i do not recommend dr ravich.

A compassionate expert in his field, Dr. Ravich was referred to me independent by two physician peers who know of him professionally but not personally. I had a total hip replacement with complex problems that was handled with precision. Two days in the hospital, I was prepared for discharge and rehab in a seamless fashion. Dr. Ravich's staff in the Lake Success office gets high marks from me as well.

Doesn't give you much time...goes from one patient to next seems to be in a hurry. No bedside manner at all.
