The Worst neurologist ever!!! I was sent to Melbourne for memory testing. I was there for several hours. When I went for my follow up appointment, the nurse practitioner said they never ordered such a test that it had to be another doctor… I looked at her like she Had lost her mind, I asked to A follow up with Dr. Schaeffer and I was told that he Does not do follow-ups that his PAs do; i am frustrated as moved here to Vero and wanted to establish new doctors. I have had migraines and issues with headaches since my mid 20s. I now have “Occipital Neuralgia” extremely painful injections, but they only last for a month. Next step will probably be a nerve block, but this is all done through a pain doctor. I am going outside about to find a neurologist because the two options in Vero Beach or terrible!!

Dr Schafer is not someone I would recommend to anyone! If he was the only doctor in town I still would not see him

Incompetent and confused. Terrible office. Hateful, cold staff. Passive-Aggressive office manager. Suspicious billing activity; took my money AND billed insurance for same services. They don't care about their patients. They care about their patients $$$. Very sad. Never again.

Intelligent and knowledgeable

Dr. Schaeffer wants to charge $50 for being 10 minutes late to an appointment I've waited on doctors all my life sometimes for hours and now this clown wants to charge me 50 bucks for 10 minutes

Doesn't listen. Only pontificates.

This guy was supposed to do a spinal tap on me, after waiting for about 2 hrs. he finally shows up, I've been lying on my side in prep all this time, and when he finally shows he doesn't even introduce himself, a nurse say's "ok the Dr.is here". He attempted this spinal tap 4 times and failed, why? because he didn't have my x-rays with him and kept hitting bone spurs !!!! I have never been in such pain all over my body, it was all for nothing, and he still billed me for $5,000 even though he accomplished nothing!!!

Doctor was very pleasant and courteous, Office staff was outstanding, this was my 1st visit so I really can't come to an accurate conclusion, but I liked everything from the 1st visit.

This was my husband's first app't. We were aggravated by the long wait time in the waiting room but once in to the office we were very pleased with Dr. Shafer's manner, exam, and forthright information given. My husband will be following up with Dr. Shafer every three months.
