Dr. William Chul Kim, MD

I was given a referral to see dr Kim. I have been trying to make an appt for the last 3 weeks and "front desk" does not answer the phone. I have been leaving voicemails without a response.

Dr. Kim and his team at Dignity Health St. Mary's performed a complete hip replacement for me (male, 65 years old) two weeks ago, and my outcome and recovery has been outstanding. Dr. Kim and I first talked about hip replacement 2+ years ago, and he gave me two very important instructions - lose weight and get in better physical shape first. Once we made the decision last summer to move ahead, he helped me lose over 50 lbs and focused me on being physically ready for the surgery and recovery. The team at Dignity Health - St. Mary's did an outstanding job prepping me and my home support, so that when the day came everyone was educated and ready, mentally and physically. The procedure went very well, with much less pain and discomfort than I anticipated. I was on my feet and using the toilet 6 hours after getting to my quiet and comfortable room. I was home the next day, able to get up and down stairs the same day. I was out of bed without help two days later, off pain meds (except… NSAIDs) after 4 days, and was walking without a cane in a week, getting up to 1 mile in 20 minutes by 10 days post-surgery. My dressing is off and I'm walking normally and visiting the gym 3 days a week. Dr. Kim and his team are first class in every respect - communicative, efficient, thorough, caring, and professional. I give them my very highest recommendation, and my eternal gratitude for restoring me to a pain-free life.

I have had three surgeries performed by Dr. William Kim. The 1st one was for a hip replacement. I had very little pain and was up and about in no time. The 2nd surgery was for my left knee replacement in 2015. My leg was turned in and I walked with a limp. After the surgery, I was amazed at my very quick recovery time and the fact that Dr. Kim has straightened my leg. The next year I had my right knee replaced. My right leg was more deformed than my left leg. Dr. Kim straightened my right leg as well. I had very little pain, and a very fast recovery time. I am a 77 year old woman, and thanks to Dr. Kim, I am now a season ticket holder at Disneyland and able to walk around the park till closing time at midnight. I would not have been to do this without the surgeries performed by Dr. Kim. I will forever be grateful to this great doctor. Dr. Kim get Five stars in my book. Worst office ever. Don't call this number. I tried to make appointment for doctor Kim William. First time for my appointment I've wait 1.5 months with a knee pain to go doctor's visit, but they called me and canceled appointment at the day of appointment and that's not all. Later I received a bill that I didn't come to scheduled appointment. Front desk is terrible, they are like tired robots. I tried to make appointment second time again It was a months waiting time not guaranteed. So finally it was canceled again. I don't recommend even to call this office.

Dr Kim is pretty good, but the admin staff is not. Very nice, but inefficient. Multiple calls (for months) for something simple. Still in pain and still making phone calls ...

How do you have a room filled w every seat in the house packed w patients... and his staff is loud so everyone can hear why your there... guess HIPAA doesn’t apply here!!!

It's been three years since my hip replacement and I have a new lease on life thanks to Dr. Kim. I just figured that at age 60, I would never hike or walk more than a few blocks again. All of his procedures are cutting edge: the prep, the drugs, the surgery (front), the recovery. So many of my friends have complications because most doctors go thru the back. Or they have bad reactions to drugs, or infections. I was out of the hospital in one day, walked without a walker after two. Oh, yes, you wait an hour for each appointment, he spends hardly any time with you, the office receptionists can be rude and the office is ugly. You want a great surgeon? Then deal with that other stuff, he's a genius.

I waited 1 hour in the lobby and the ladies at the desk never told any of us what was the hold up and please reschedule. I had other appointments. I understand that dr. Kim is an excellent doctor and has emergencies. The staff needs to be trained to reschedule for us or let us know that there will be an hour to two hour delay. Our time is valuable also.

I had a appointment and was a little nervous because couple months ago I went in and the front desk girl did not greet me and I was in pain. She was a little rude. So about a week ago I went in and it was packed of patients and I noticed there was a new girl up front and she was very nice and made me feel really comfortable there. I asked her name and told her she was the sweetest thing ever. Her name is Falisha. My office visit this day was absolutely wonderful. Thank you. Hope they hire more girls like her. My doctor Kim was very quick and very polite. Great office visit.
