Dr. Alex Chunhsien Liu, MD

I have been going to Dr. Liu for years. He did my eyelid surgery and has been doing the pixel fractured lazar on my face yearly with amazing results. Dr. Liu is honest, sincere, skillful, sense of humor, down to earth, great listener; he listens to what his patients want and expect and he is honest about what results the patient will have. I was initially referred to Dr. Liu by my original plastic surgeon since Dr. Liu specializes in SmartLipo body sculpting and eyelid surgery (which my older PS didn't do). He's a younger doctor so I was a bit hesitant but I did some SmartLipo first and boy was I impressed! I scheduled my upper and lower eyelids with him 4 weeks after LOL. Not only am I thrilled with my results but so are my mom (had facelift/necklift, upper and lower eyelid surgery with Dr. Liu), sister (upper eyelid surgery), sister-in-law (SmartLipo on her abdomen), and 2 co-workers (Botox, fillers, SmartLipo). That's why I call him my family cosmetic surgeon! He is such a wonderful person; he spent at least 30- 45 minutes each time I saw him, even on follow ups just to make sure I had all my questions answered. Because I was nervous he actually saw me 2 extra times (at no charge might I add) prior to surgery just to make sure we were on the same page. Oh by the way, after surgery for my mom he actually came… over to our house the same evening for a HOUSE call! Who still does that? And he does that for ALL his facelift patients! I can't say enough about him as a doctor and now as a friend; it is very obvious to me why he has won the Top Cosmetic Surgeon award 5 years running. Despite my thoughts, he recommended much less surgery (saved me a few bucks) for me and my family and still was able to achieve what I was looking for. His integrity, kindness, and overall warmth really stand out from the previous experiences I have had.

He was rude and arrogant. Not even want to spend 1 minute of his time with patient. If you have insurance, he arrogantly will inform you that he is busy enough with CASH patient that he has no time for you to deal with (even PPO insurance). This is the first I've ever met with a money hunger doctor (no compassion) in my 30 years experience of healthcare management company with over 1000 primary care physicians network nationwide. Watch out for his exorbitant service fee at non-contracted rate. I will NEVER see him again! I wish I can just give NO star for this rating.

Dr. Alex Liu is a really down to earth and genuine doctor. His knowledge of Ophthalmology and the eye anatomy really makes him a fantastic cosmetic surgeon to perform eyelid lifts. I went to him for a consult for my droopy eyes and he was so thorough in his explanations that I immediately felt at ease in his hands. I'm 3 months post op right now and I wish I found Dr. Liu sooner. His followthrough is unparalleled as he was always responsive during my recovery period and held my hand through it all. I wholeheartedly recommend him!
