Dr. Alfred James Mauriello, MD

Dr. Al Mauriello was called specifically by my sister-in-law to sew up my face from a head on collision with a tractor trailer back in '81 (I'm why PennDOT did a repair job on the side of the road, and why there are no trucks allowed on Whitford Rd. since the 1980s). She knew he would do a great job. The skin was split literally down to the bone on my forehead from my eyebrow up to my hair line. Yes, the scar is still noticeable, but God bless Al Mauriello. He certainly did a much better job than the average ER doctor would have been able to do.

About 40 years ago I was in a bad car accident. I was visiting from California. My face looked like the Grand Canyon when they brought me into the hospital. It was late at night, I think he was an intern at the time. Dr. Mauriello did a fantastic job of sewing my nose and lip back into one recognizable shape, which was not an easy task as it was a hideous nightmare of a gaping hole. I remember having fun with him while he was doing it. I will never forget him...fantastic bedside manner. Thank-you Al!
