Dr. Andrew Lawrence Rosen, MD

I feel compelled to write this positive review about Dr Rosen's office staff- without even having met Rosen as his staff was so helpful and were the only office staff that didn't put me on hold for more than 5 minutes and call me back when a more immediate appointment time came available. I meet with Dr Rosen this week and will follow up with a review of this experience. I trust it will be as positive.

He isn't one of those "Cut Happy" kind of orthopaedic surgeons. He has been keeping me walking w/ as little pain as possible without surgery! Unlike his business partner, the hand surgeon, Dr. M, he would never let his assistant to treat his patients like she is the doctor, his assistant only brings in equipments & unlike Dr. M, Dr. Rosen always answer my questions straight to the point w/ a sense of humor, very easy to approach!

Had same day rotator cuff surgery which went very well.

I went to Dr. Rosen after having fallen off a desk at work (I'm a teacher) and injuring my right knee. Having torn my left ACL as a teen, I knew something was wrong with my right knee more than having just sprained it, etc. Dr. Rosen only prescribed X-Rays. When I was finally in the examination room after the X-Rays, he was very dismissive and said that I only needed physical therapy. Two months later, when my knee was no better, I saw a different doctor. (I picked up my file from Dr. Rosen's office. It was WRONG. It listed me as a smoker [I'm not] and it described my accident completely incorrectly!) Just looking at my X-Rays, he knew something else was wrong because there was too much space between two of my bones. Sure enough, I had torn my ACL in my right knee.Dr. Rosen wasted my time. He was arrogant and condescending and completely negligent regarding my health.

Overall great physician. He was understanding, and listened intensely to every word i said about my pain. He was very insightful and professional. A great doctor for your special needs.

This guy gave me contracdictory information about my fractured ankle. First said it would heal nicely in 4 weeks but I should get the surgery "tomorrow" to prevent arthritis.He wanted to to perform surgery on me without even having an EKG !!??I scheduled a week later and then cancellend. He called me back and retracted what he had said about the healing once he knew I changed my mind about the surgery. Also - staff needs work. They are not well stocked on surgical supplies. My crutch was broken on the bottom and they let me walk out of the offic with one crutch - I could have fallen or gotten injured. This Dr. is about loading up his surgery app't schedule. He also removed my cast and put a boot on - won't that slow down the healing process ???

Waited one week until his office staff was able to set up my MRI, even though I called twice to speed process along. Never got follow up from Dr. Rosen with results of My MRI even though I called twice and was told that he would call me back.

Dr. Rosen is very knowledgeable. He is very thorough, caring, and courteous! His staff is very helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Rosen.

This doctor made an appointment to treat a problem, which he said that he was not qualified to treat once I was in his consulting room. This delayed medical attention to my problem, and was a huge waste of my time.
