Dr. Andrew Stephen Wellman, MD

This man is a liar about infection rates. I'm living proof. He uses something called a national average to tell you there's only 1% of a chance of getting an infection. In reality a lot of states don't have to report their infection rates to the CDC, so to say that the numbers are clouded would be an absolute understatement and lie. I've gotten to infections now from these people and I'm probably not going to have my leg much longer. Stay away from him he is a monster and a liar

Dr. Wellman put four pins in my hip I have a slipped femoral cap epiphysis when he was a captain in the United States Army at Letterman General Hospital in the Presidio in San Francisco in 1980 I just decided to look him up well I've been looking for years for him my name is James Marshall I was 14 and a half at the time

if you want a doc that cares and takes the time needed to explain This is you man.

I had two knee replacement surgeries with Dr. Wellman, and I was very satisfied with the results of each. I specially like Dr. Wellman's office manner; he is kind and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. He spends time with me and he listens with empathy. I would definitely go back to him.

Friendly, intelligent, and down-to-earth doctor who genuinely cares. I felt completely comfortable in his care.

The wait was a little long but he spend equal time with me. I never felt rushed or that he was to worried to get to his other pacients.

Dr. Wellman has just lost my business. In the past, my wait time was always about an 1 1/2 hours. Today, I was there an hour and they told me it would be at least another hour. There are plenty of Orthopedic Doctors out there that value my time and would like to do businees with me. And yes, I will pass this information on to anyone I know that needs an Orthopedic Doctor.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY. HORRIBLE!!! I saw him twice for a knee problem and not one time did he even lay a finger on me. There were no xrays or MRI's done but yet he claimed to tell me it was all muscular. Since then I have seen another dr and have had to have 3 differnet surgeries to repair my knees.

he seems really nice only have seen him once it takes a long time to see him becuz he is spending time with each patient :) which is good if your in a hurry don't schedule more then his appointment for that day...the only thing i found wrong otherwise everything was smooth sailing :)

Very informative. Willing to go through and explain your situation. Does not rush through your appointment in order to see next patient.
