Dr. Anil Dinu Patel, MD

Condescending, doesn’t listen and thinks you don’t need an explanation of your issues when asked. Didn’t want to deal with the issue my neurologist referred me for long term. Very obvious bias and arrogance toward optometrists or any other eye doctor/treatment techniques.

I saw Dr. Patel because I have visual snow; if you're intending to see him for the same reason then I'd go somewhere else. When I saw him he told me there was nothing he could do to help. That was very disappointing but not his fault, I know it's a rare and not well understood condition. However, he was so incredibly rude, dismissive of my concerns, and confident that I could not find help anywhere else that I had not even attempted to manage it through other methods since very recently. I learned that many people have found successful ways to manage their visual snow (through changes in lifestyle, medication, or eyewear) and the same methods have helped me too. Dr. Patel seems well accredited and I'm sure he has the technical knowledge to help a lot of people. But he made the last few years of my life much more difficult than they needed to be and I hope others can avoid my mistake.

I have to conclude that all the negative reviews must be written by the same person....dr. Patel is polite, listens well , is knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I would recommend him to anyone. Dismiss the negative reviews. You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Patel was my physician for almost 10 years, until I just recently moved out of state. He is a great doctor, listens, answers all questions, and made me feel better about my scary situation. The staff is great at the Edmond office, as well as downtown. I highly recommend Dr. Patel.

Office staff were great. Dr patel was rude, arrogant, dismissive and lacked empathy. He said he was a scientist not a doctor and I believe it. He spent very little time and had even less interest. I highly recommend you find a different doctor.

I like a few others am surprised at the negative response...I think Dr. Patel is very competent. He sent me for every test possible to figure out my problem, and now I am on the correct medicine and starting to make improvement. I enjoy Dr. Patel taking time and not rushing during my appointments and he always makes eye contact when speaking to me. He is an extremely nice man and I would recommend him to others.

I was at a loss when I saw other reviews about Dr. Patel that were negative- MY office visit was a good one ,he sent me for what ended up a life saving test and followed up with results and made a great referral of neuro surgeon. I plan on using him again.

Incompetent, inept, dismissive, rude, completely devoid of empathy or compassion, arrogant, disorganized & forgetful.
