Dr. Anna Helen Grosz, MD

Very condescending, interrupted me multiple times, didn't trust that I know my own body, didn't truly listen to what I said, wrote the OPPOSITE of what I said was my concern on my visit summary, accused me of exaggerating, basically treated me like I was a scared little woman with hysteria who could be healed with the phrase 'i see nothing dangerous'. Anything I said about doctors who had previously validated my concerns that things weren't normal was met with her saying 'not a specialist'. Told me I just needed to lower the stress in my life (didn't ask a single question about my stress levels, my life is not stressful) and exercise (as if I don't regularly exercise - she heard me say that I hadn't very recently, but my problem I was there for has lasted a YEAR and I worked out regularly throughout).Also seemed annoyed that she couldn't treat me surgically and acted like I came there for surgery when I came there because I was referred to her as an ENT, not a SURGEON specifically.… Can't even fully articulate all the ways I felt poorly treated. I cried during the appointment and left sobbing.

My visit with her was quite literally the worst I have ever experienced with any doctor. I waited a long time for this appointment only for her to say that I should have made an appt with my dentist. She spent less than 10 minutes altogether, spent scolding me for my own condition. A complete waste of time...It would have been better if I had avoided this altogether.

She misdiagnosed me 2x and refused to give me antibiotics. Went to another ENT and it turns out I've had tonsillitis for 3 months. Now have to have my tonsils removed because they've been infected for so long.

After speaking to an audiologist about ear pressure, pain, and lumps. The audiologist recommended another hearing test in a year, or a referral to an ENT. I had asked them to refer me to an ENT for evaluation. After scheduling an appointment and waiting over a month, I was finally able to see Anna. Anna's introduction was a snippy "Don't try to diagnose yourself", to which I replied "That is why I came to see you." I felt very uncomfortable around her, not to mention the two additional nurses that were there-- no introductions or explanations. I explained my symptoms and she looked over my recorded. Anna scolded me for coming to see her, exclaiming that I was supposed to see the audiologist in a year before coming in for an ENT appointment. Anna looked in my ear for a few seconds and then felt my jaw. She asked me to open and close my mouth. She said, "Oh, that's really loud. You have TMJ." There was barely a click or pop! She prescribed that I need an occlusal guard,… made a referral to another department to get one, and then left. If you are referred to see Anna, please ask for another ENT that specializes in ears. I believe it was a real waste of time, energy, and money to see her.

Would not look at my typewritten summary of symptoms. Declared my case was like "hundreds" of others. 2 years later I am still suffering symptoms, which possibly could have been corrected earlier. I had to go to another specialist to get treatment that helped. Grosz' treatment was futile based on failure to identify true symptoms.

Had a loss of hearing and saw Dr Groze. She did not recognize it as fluid in my middle ear. I went many weeks without proper treatment. She would not communicate with me when I became concerned.
