Dr. Arkan Alrashid, MD

This guy’s rating is inflated by people giving 5 stars to his old office staff, his old company’s facilities, and for colonoscopies. I don’t know how you give someone 5 stars for something you slept through. I’ve had a few colonoscopies at other places and have never had one that was better or worse than the others. My review of this “man” as a physician: I went to see this guy after having my first diverticulitis flare in 5 years. It was uncomplicated, barely bothered me, and I had lost 70 pounds by completely changing my lifestyle since my previous flares. This guy immediately told me I need surgery without any questions. I was absolutely shocked because I was hardly bothered by it at all, so I asked, “You think so?” His egomaniacal answer was, “I know so, buddy.” He then proceeded to manipulate facts and figures, omit information, and flat out lie to me about why I needed the surgery. For instance, he told me if I didn’t get the surgery I was going to 100% keep getting flare ups and… I was going to have a guaranteed perforation. I have found out since that there is an exactly 1% chance of uncomplicated diverticulitis perforating. That’s hardly a guarantee. There is a much greater guarantee of complications from the surgery (90+%) sibo (68%) and declined quality of life (99%). If I had known any of those LEGITIMATE facts, I would have never agreed to this surgery. I have seen multiple specialists and COMPETENT GIs since who told me they would never suggest this surgery for mild, uncomplicated diverticulitis because of the terrible risks for complications. This guy absolutely ruined my life. The only reason I can think of is that he wanted to give a surgery to his ancient and equally inept cohort, Dr. Giulianotti, who put a right angle in my colon that now causes constant constipation. And to make ethical matters worse, Pier Cristiforo Giulianotti sent a glowing 5 star review of this establishment a month ago posing as a client. Imagine the poor ethics it takes to allow the surgeon that you send all of your surgeries to leave a fake review for you, and the poor ethics of his favorite buddy surgeon to send that review in the first place. Prior to the surgery, I was riding my bike an hour a day 5 days a week covering 18-20 miles, I was eating an extremely healthy diet, I had no digestive issues, I had tons of energy, low blood pressure, immaculate bloodwork, no bathroom issues whatsoever, and a happy life. I was told by this guy and his surgeon pal that I would be “better than ever” in a month or two. That is the biggest lie I have ever been told, and it was the only reason I agreed to surgery. Not one facet of my life was improved by this surgery, and gigantic pieces of my mental and physical health were irreparably destroyed. I haven’t ridden my bike in over a year because I have no energy and I develop palpitations for weeks after I attempt to ride. I developed SIBO after the surgery that destroyed my body. I lost thirty pounds in 3 weeks. I developed afib as a zero risk patient because of the malnutrition due to the sibo caused by this guy’s ineptitude. I cannot sleep at night because of constant stomach discomfort, pain, bloating, gas, etc. My mental health has been destroyed, and that has destroyed my previously healthy relationships with my children and wife. I am exhausted, angry, depressed, in constant discomfort, I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t do any of the things that I could before I met this guy. I can only hope that this message reaches someone who has been bullied and gaslit by this man and helps them make a better decision about who they trust with their life. Please, please, please pick a different doctor if you are reading this. This man is either incompetent or shady. Either way you don’t want him as your doctor.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Alrashid for years. He and his staff are the best. Scheduling is fast and efficient. Dr Alrashid’s staff is very caring and skilled. Can’t say enough about Dr.Alrashid. He is the best. Caring and always responds in a timely manner to any concerns.
