Dr. Aydin Abyar Lathari, MD

Dr Lathari came to update me on my mother’s condition , after what I’m certain was a very long day. He sat down and faced me, and was very personable. He explained in great detail of his medical findings, and assured me he’d provide the best care and resolution for my mother. Never, and I repeat, never has a physician taken the time to explain my mother’s ailments, other than a quick synopsis of their diagnosis.I truly appreciate his thoroughness. Thank you!

I presented to Northeast Regional in St Johnsbury with a rapid heart rate and arythmia. I was immediately admitted and given some medications. The next morning while having an echocardiogram, I coded. Dr Lathari performed CPR and saved my life. What else can I say. Thank you,but my ribs hurt. I had four stents put in the next day at Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital. Another GREAT place.

Dr Lathari was assigned to me in Newport Vt when I was a summer resident from California. I had Poly myalgia Rheumatica and had been on infusions of Actemra for a year under the care of a Rheumatologist. She had told me that no doctor in another state would be able to get me, an out out of state patient, on the same program. He went to bat with Medicare and my insurance and managed to get me the infusions that I needed. These are needed every 4 weeks so an interruption of this course of medication can cause great pain and stiffening. I was sorry to see Dr. Lathari leave Newport as I come every summer. He set in motion a course of medication that continues to today (it is helping my now RA) here in Newport, Vermont!

Great doctor for minor illnesses. When confronted with actual illness, will tell patients it's their anxiety. Patient after 8 months of major symptoms, ended with major illness. Long story short, he was given the chance to leave himself or be asked to leave. Went to York Maine now to be in St Johnsbury vt. Beware. Call medical staff services at each hospital for references. He has to be credentialed at each one.

total idiot. misdiagnosed me. Told me it was anxiety for months to find out it wasn't. even yelled at me at times. Made me feel like an idiot when I am the one that knows my own body. His true self will eventually come out. His hugs are superficial. Will never allow him to treat anyone I know.

I have been seeing Dr. Aydin Lathari since early this year and cannot say enough about him. The bedside manner that he has instilled is beyond exceptional, the time he spends with his patients is non-rushing and he listens to you and is very reassuring with his projections of the problems. He has taken the time to call personally to check on how things were progressing and would continue to stay on top of it. If he couldn't do it himself, he would have a very capable nurse (Scott Taylor) call with any info or follow up info. Any diagnosis he has given has been extremely accurate. Being as reassuring as Dr. Lathari has been during recent trauma I have been through, this man has given me and my family the confidence we need to get through this. I sincerely would recommend any one looking to change your physician to take into consideration this man that doesn't feel he does enough. He has what it takes to carry anyone through anything as the old-fashioned Doctors of the past have done.… With the stresses that physicians have today being under the scrutiny and control of hospitals and insurance companies, it is not any easy job but you have to love it and my family and I feel that Dr. Aydin Lathari truly is this type of man. North Country Hospital is very lucky to have him and we want him to know that you have been our Angel and miracle worker. My whole family has him as their primary physician now and we couldn't be any happier. Thank you Dr. Aydin Lathari and we look forward to having you in our care for many years to come.
