Dr. Bakari Eugene Vickerson, MD

By Far, Dr.Vickerson is the worst psychiatrist I have had the displeasure of working with to help me regain normalcy in my life through mental health. The first problem that arose when discussing my treatment was that he never gave me any applicable advice when I was severely depressed instead he gloated about his achievements. One of them being his 8 years of residency. He would rarely let me talk about how I felt about the medication he put me on. He even tried to persuade me to do difficult tasks like work when I was not capable of such, at the time. I am a disabled veteran with multiple disorders and instead of helping me with each of them, he decided to only focus on one or two throughout the 3 months he was "aiding" me on my mental health journey. Secondly, He fabricated an appointment and lied about it to the billing team that I attended it knowing my financial crisis. In my opinion, this man is self-centered and pompous. In the past, he constantly urged me to do more with my… life in the fragile mental state that I was in and would say that I would be stuck in life if I didn't. I want to note that I view myself as an outgoing and hardworking individual. All I requested was effective coping mechanisms to help me manage day-to-day activities. Which was not met by him. Instead, I had to get that service from someone else on his team. which was a hefty price. It's astonishing how he has truly "helped" so many people. In conclusion, I have a right to my opinion and in my opinion, Dr.Vickerson has given me more mental turmoil than I have ever encountered in my 4 years of therapy.

I'm truly at a loss as to why this Dr has such ratings. I've seen him for the very first time today and am thoroughly pleased with his professional manerism and the ease at which I was able to communicate my needs. I am very thankful for his help and look forward to our follow up visits. He has my highest recommendation.
