Dr. Benjamin Cheechu Kam JR., MD

I think Dr. Kam is the best, most precise, skilled surgeon I have ever had. He has repaired a broken knee cap, and subsequently removed the hardware from my left knee and he did a total knee replacement on my right knee. He was diligent in checking on me in the hospital and I was able to go home the day after surgery. My scars are beautiful and I am doing very well with both knees. I have no infection and my mobility and strength are returning in record time. His PA, LeAnne has worked with me as well and she is so personable, understanding and competent that I feel happy and in good hands speaking with either one of them. The hospital, physical therapy recommended and his whole team is top notch and I would trust him completely. He is a perfectionist and my results are a testament to his skill. I am 67 years old.

Had my right hip replaced by Dr. Kam and I am more than pleased with his talent and caring. My right hip is in fantastic shape, now on to my left.

My father went in to see Dr. Kam for his herniated disc, because that is who he was referred to. We get there and he is a hip specialist, not a back specialist. This was a huge misunderstanding of all the medical providers and is understandable; however, the visit after this was unacceptable. He did not even read the report on my dad's back and hip (There was two different MRIs), which is extremely rude/unprofessional. Dr. Kam did the knee reflex test on him and after his right leg had no reflex at all he had nothing to say about it and just blew that entire problem off. He did not try to get my father to see the spine specialist there and treated him as though he was another $100 going into his pocket. The service we received was terrible and he should not be in medicine considering he does not actually care about patients wellbeing. While I understand this was not his specialty, there was a lot of other things the doctor could have done to try to get him the proper care he should… have received to begin with.

I worked with Dr. Kam during 2017-18 for total knee replacement of both knees (two separate surgeries, six months apart). Dr. Kam is patient with answering questions, very thorough and informative about the procedures, and has great staff at Davita medical group. I'd recommend him and his team to anyone! All the other people at Davita are great too!

Seems knowledgeable but rushes patients through; prefers handing you a pamphlet instead of taking enough time to explain things.
