Dr. Brian Richard Apatoff, MD

Dr. Apatoff is an excellent physician knowledge wise. I have received excellent care for the past 10 yrs. After he Moved to a private office vs.Weill Cornell, his lack of staff And follow up has been very upsetting as well as anxiety producing over the past two years. Both emotions exacerbate my MS symptoms. I find him extremely negligent when it comes to follow thru ..i.e. What he says he will do and what he doesn't do is the reason I will no longer be his patient. He promised for over a year to finish his qualifications so he could prescribe marijuana for my debilitating MS pain. He felt I was not eligible for new MS meds based on my history. Thus I was most anxious to try Marijuana. It has never happened. Another example: For the last two months, I have beseeched him to give me my records.Despite discussing This matter in person, by telephone and email several times I have yet to receive them even though receiving reassurances he would send them. I was 24 When I met Dr. Apatoff And he had kept me healthy for the past 19 years ! It is easy for me to say he is the best Dr. In the world! He is super smart and knowledgable about Any health matter . He always has time to answer a question and always puts me at ease . I highly recommend him!

I've been a patient of Dr Apatoff since 2004! I've never had a problem with him getting info on any thing important pertaining to MS He's courteous and punctual. Returning calls is hard for him. He's by himself. So make sure you write a slot and get them answered prior to leaving your appointment. It's your responsibility to take care of yourself,, He's an intelligent Dr and a wonderful person,

He was rude and I felt very put down by him

This quack was treating my Mother for MS for over 10 years, she never seemed to get any worse, he refused to answer any of my questions and became very nasty with me when I asked him for the MRI. He sent her to a pain clinic where she almost died from too many meds and guess what, Thank God that happened because it turns out...She NEVER had M.S.

In this day and age, it's extremely rare to find a Dr. Willing to take his own time and explain your condition to you. No matter how long it takes. Dr. Apatoff, has never rushed me ever. He is kind and probably the smartest person I have ever meet. I was diagnosed wrong 2 times before seeing Dr Apatoff, he's professional and humble. He takes my calls even on a weekend. You would be hard pressed to find a cari g Dr, like him in a world that's upside down. His patients come first and God has blessed him with an incredible gift...

I just needed to write how Dr. apatoff in my 7 years in his care continues in his selfless commitment to his patients continues to go above and beyond to take care of me, and I owe myself and him the same commitment to have the best quality of life. I wish I knew a way to thank him for always being there for me in times of trial. I wouldn't consider another. Truly the best. All my gratitude to him time and time again.

Dr. Apatoff is the absolute best neurologist there is. He is extremely knowledgeable Doctor and in my opinion one of the BEST in his profession. At the age of 27 I was very sick and became paralyzed from my waist down. I had never had anthing more than a cold in my life up until this point. I thought I'd never walk again. I was originally in a hospital in Holmdel NJ, the neurologists ran tons of tests but still could not figure out what my diagnosis was, the doctors there even told my family that I might not live through this. I just had a baby 6 months prior I was only 27 so you can imagine my tremendous fear! I was referred to Dr. Apatoff and he treated me so wonderfully as I was so scared. He truly saved my life and for that I am forever greatful! He is the best Neurologist there is. I'd never see anyone else!! I could never thank Dr. Apatoff for getting me back to a full recovery!! Thank you Dr. A!!

Dr. A has been my doctor for a long time, I find him to be honest and he listens to me. I was with him when he was at Weill and then the Judith Jaffe Center. The one thing I love about Dr. A is that he isn't pushing the latest drugs on you! He is respectful of what you want & gives you all the information and discusses what is best treatment for you.

If you need to talk to him, he comes to the phone! How many doctors take the time to do that anymore? He's brilliant, which is so important in a doctor when you have a complicated or obscure problem. He's nice in addition to being a genius. That combination is almost non-existent. I'm SO glad I found him!
