I was a patient of Dr. Harper's year's ago Awesome Dr. Only one who I found that would listen to me....He had to do a complete hysterectomy on me I was ate up with endometriosis..Best Dr EVER....

This was the only place that would accept me as a new 8 month pregnant patient when I moved here from California. My first interactions with Dr. Jasper were pleasant. He has a laidback and humorous approach towards his patients.At my last appointment 10 days prior to my delivery date, I was dilated 1 cm with signs of pleeclampsia so they were sending me to the hospital to induce labor. Without telling me what he was doing Dr. Jasper pulled my mucus plug (which I later found out) to help kick start the labor. I would have been appreciative had he forewarned me about this and told me I would bleed all over myself on the way home (offering a pad?) as well as informed me that severe cramping would soon begin. I was told that the process would not begin until I reached the hospital and I was even advised to take my time, go home, eat something, pack everything I needed, etc.Dr. Lee Sesslar was not prepared for my son to come so quickly even though I was there for 8 hours already (because… they didn't think a first time pregnancy would deliver so fast) so I was not cut to prevent tearing during the delivery and when I did tear as badly as I did, it took a very long time for her to sew me back up. Meanwhile, my entire clan of in-laws were allowed to roam the room at Rockford Memorial, devouring the display of placenta and vaginal reconstruction while the doc and nurses kept reprimanding me to keep my legs as open as I could.After getting all my hospital bills and payment plans taken care of, nearly a year later we received a bill for our son's circumcision (unbeknownst to me). The bill was made out to "Baby Boy" rather than myself so with my husband in charge of the bills and a separation period in between I did not receive these bills until the last one that was actually made out to me and not "Baby Boy" telling me they were cutting me off as a patient and sending me to collections. I received this one because it was made out to me and forwarded as appropriate. After confronting my husband I was then presented with the pile dating back to the first he received.Rock Valley would not take me out of collections and allow me to send in payments for this. Instead, they said I was given plenty of time and proper notification to handle it so I could not return for services until paid in full. I never received a phone call from them about the balance (my phone was changed in my separation), and in my several office visits after the delivery no one mentioned anything to me about this unpaid balance in person. It has now dinged my credit and I am unable to return for services in order for Dr. Jasper to remove this now painfully crampy and bleeding IUD he inserted April/May of 2010, a little over a year and a half after my delivery. The IUD services were paid in full at the time they were received. Had I known of that cirumcision balance, I could have easily arranged to pay it off at that time as well.I will not be returning for services after paying off this balance, which saddens me that things had to get to this point with their questionable billing department because aside from my above mentioned experience, Dr. Jasper's nurse was more helpful and open to share her knowledge than any other nurse I had ever met, the facility was very nice and clean, and the entire office staff was pleasant, helpful, and easy to work with.
