Dr. Charles Herman Kuttner, MD

Dr kuttner is by far, the most gifted psychiatrist I have ever come in contact with. He provides Compassionate Care while encouraging you to be self-empowered and take ownership for one's recovery

I have been to many psychiatrists over the years for bipolar. I was desperate when I was referred to Dr. Kuttner from someone who he had turned their life around. I had just gotten out of the hospital for mania, and had terrible anxiety. I saw him every 2 weeks until he got me stabilized. Now, it's every 3 months. It's true, he only prescribes meds., but shortly after seeing him, my therapist said I didn't need to see her anymore. My problem is not situational, but chemical, and I needed a doctor whose expertise was in drugs designed to treat bipolar. I just referred him to someone whose bipolar is out of control. I would refer him to anyone - I've seen first hand what he can do.

He is the best.

Dr. Kuttner is the best psychiatrist I've worked with. I have a whole alphabet soup of mental health diagnosis. I've never worked with a doctor who is collaborative, compassionate, and values my input as a patient. I am not an easy patient, either, and a lot of doctors wouldn't give me the level of care that Dr. Kuttner does. He will make a variety of suggestions regarding medication and gives really good, honest feedback regarding side effects and potential problems. It is always the patient who has the final say and must be responsible for their medication. He is nonjudgemental and experienced working with a variety of patients. Because of Dr. Kuttner's help I am the most stable I've been, taking the minimum amount of meds, have incorporated a lot of alternative therapies into my care, and am really happy to be alive.

This is a very dangerous doctor who over prescribes dangerous benzodiazepines. His legal over prescribing landed my friend in a coma. He has no business practicing medicine. He is incompetent. If you care about your mental well being, do not see this doctor.

This man should lose his license for over prescribing controlled substances. Kuttner destroyed my once brilliant athletic sister and mom by drugging her with benzodiazepines for depression. She nearly died from his legal prescriptions and was hospitalized for neurotoxin poisoning from his prescription pad. That was before he sent her to have her brains fried at OHSU. AND, she never tried to harm herself. My sister suffered from mild trauma in the past; nothing compares to the severe trauma she suffered at the hands of Kuttner. I've lost my sister because of this man; and her children lost their mom.

I started working with Dr. Kuttner 5 years ago when suffering from depression and anxiety due to some PTSD. He is the most compassionate and effective physicians I've known. He is now helping me to wean safely from meds I no longer need. He's an expert treating oodles of psychiatric related conditions. I refer him to friends with zeal.

Extremely intelligent down to earth Doctor whose diagnostic skills are top notch. He is not who you want to see for anything but medical management and at that he is top notch. He augments " talking therapy" and while he himself does not offer traditional psychotherapy his empathy and warmth are expressed through humor and compassion. He books a lot of patients but is always on time. Returning calls and follow up is excellent.
