Dr. Charles Edward Wingate JR., MD

After over 20 years of Dr. Wingate monitoring my glaucoma, for over a year he failed to recognize both my reports and the evidence of his own field test that I had a growing blind spot until it became an unmitigated emergency. During that few months he failed to recognize a bad reaction to an additional eyedrop. He turned me over to Dr. Desai at the same practice who could see optical nerve damage by direct examination. She resolved my situation but nothing could repair a permanent, intrusive blind spot. In my opinion, Dr. Wingate was either incompetent or negligent. I wouldn't trust him with anyone's care.

He saved my daughter's eyesight. Can't say enough about him as an ophthalmologist.

Dr. Wingate performed cataract removal and lens insertion in both of my eye. He clearly explained the procedure and provided detailed pre- and post-op instructions. Both eyes are clear and vision restored to 20-20

We have gone to Nashua Eye for many years and been very happy but this was the first appointment with Dr. Wingate. He was brusk, he was condescending, he did not address the issue adequately. I could not be less impressed. This was a terrible and stressful experience!!! I can HIGHLY recommend the practice in general, the administrative staff are great, and other doctors we've seen such as Dr. Sutherland, have been really compassionate and thorough. But we won't be seeing Dr. Wingate again.
