Very rude, would not recommend this practice to anyone

If you just want your eyes checked, he may not be your best choice. It takes time to be as thorough and as diligent as he is. He is a top specialist in glaucoma who has made significant contributions to the field. For instance he invented a way to repeatedly treat glaucoma by relieving the pressure. Previous methods only worked once. Allow plenty of time. You may get one test and then wait in the waiting room for a room to be freed for another procedure or test. From reviews, that seems to be the most common complaint. Overall I am quite happy with my treatment. I hope this helps.

1st visit and last! Technician tried to dilate my prosthetic eye, she also repeatedly covered my 1 good eye and asked me to read chart. Kept asking me " You can't see anything? " Told her multiple times it's plastic it's a prosthetic. Then doctor working with Dr Latina almost put in dilation drops in prosthetic.He also shined light in it, asked me to read chart with it??? I had to ask him Don't you people read chart and information I JUST filled out? When Latina came in I explained what happened with his staff and he brushed it off. No apology. He was highly recommended and this was worst care ever. I told receptionist tear up my chart and would not be back.

He might be the best at what he does, but his office scheduling is horrible...long wait, busy staff and he has no bedside manner. Good outcome from my surgery.

Verbally abusive to a great staff. At least a 2-3hr wait! Genius Doctor, great at what he does, but no personality. If you can stand to see him belittle his staff and use the "F" word then he is your guy. My prayers to the staff!

Shifted from one tech to the other and short time with Dr. But when final visits after surgery finally spent more time.

I had Dr. Latina perform a special in-plant surgery for glaucoma in my left eye, simply, he is by far the best surgeon for this work. He may be ubrupt or quick with an answer, but my eye is doing superb five years later. This surgery by no means is fail proof, so,I am extremely happy. 20/20 vision to boot.His staff is excellent, by the way.

Dr. Latina is great at what he does! His staff is always stressed out and try to keep him moving along but they are very caring and do the best they can. A few of his staff members work harder than others and its noticed. Dr. Latinas bedside manner is not so great, he is alwaus rushing or his cell phone is going off and you can always hear him cursing; what a shame because he is great at his job and you can tell he is very knowledgeable! From the moment you sign in to when you get to see him is a lenghty wait, shortest amount of time i have waited is 1 hr, longest being 3 hours. I would recommend him no doubt for his experience and knowledge and great staff but be ready for the down sides!

Dr. Latina's brilliance makes up for his lack of a good bedside manner. He mumbles and seems to be always in a rush. His staff is usually nice but you can tell they are stressed out. Making appointments is difficult because the clerk isn't always helpful and Dr. L is also very busy because he's the guru of glaucoma and everyone wants to see him. But I'll take any negatives because he is so so excellent in his work.
