Seek care with another doctor. He treats you as a disease and not as a person. Does not actively listen to patients and hard to get appointments with.

I'm a fairly new to this physicians practice and am having a difficult time adjusting to this physician. After many years mine up and left his practice on a whim. This was a heartbreak-he was truely a great doctor. After visiting 1 and calling 6 others( they didn't take my insurance or weren't taking patients). This one was. After being sent to the hospital on an emergency basis recently by this physician I haven't heard a word from him and have developed another problem which could be serious. He is not returning my phone call. He doesn't have any staff other than his receptionist who's constantly on the phone. He is just setting up his practice. I only decided to stay with this this internist because I'm on an abundance of meds. and need refills and care for emergency/sick visits.I'm not sure I've made a good decision. When your the physician, nurse, medical assistant and plebotomist ( who doesn't wear gloves) it makes you think twice. I've tried running reports on his background and… every site is looking for cash. I recieved this Dr's name through our local hospital because I was fresh out of physicians to choose from. He's independant and not affiliated with the hospital.I think it's time to go shopping again, possibly in another city....it's just exhausting trying to find a compassionate, thourough physician these days!
