Dr. Colin Goggins

Goggins seemed very combative, dismissive, and arrogant. I brought my daughter in to see Dr. Goggins and he seemed annoyed that my 8 year old daughter and I were there. He asked why we were there, I explained to him that we were referred by my daughter's primary care doctor, and that I was told that Orthopedics would Go go over x-rays of her knee, and determine if her fracture required surgery, a cast, a boot, or an ace bandage. He pretended not to know anything about why we were there in the first place when I asked him if they sent anything to him. Yet he was able to determine that she doesn't have a fracture at all and that was just how "they read the x-rays". Ask for a different Doctor if you have to go to Banner.

If I could leave zero stars I would. He ruined my life. I had 3 surgeries in total after the first one failed twice. I am now having to get a hip replacement on the other hip 7 years later now (with another dr) because I never recovered from his surgeries and overused my other leg. He convinced me to do a PAO (osteotomy). He straight up lied to me. When I specifically asked if this would happen he assured me no. Then everything he said would not happen, did in fact happen. As a result I have no feeling on the leg he performed surgery on, forever. After everything was said and done he didn't want to help me anymore and became shady with wanting me to sign disclosure forms. I hate this awful man. I deeply regret letting him operate on me. Consider going with him very carefully because AZ is a Dr. friendly state when it comes to lawsuits.

Told my child it was fine to just keep Doing their activities like nothing ever happened with 2 spinal fractures. Told us to take ibuprofen if we needed to for pain, but it’s nothing to worry about since my child was still young. He thought it was a genetic condition and even after viewing the MRI with obvious swelling from a new break he still thought it was fine to do whatever he wanted. Went to see a couple other doctors that say it’s more than likely a new break with the signs the MRI show and the other 2 told us to completely rest from all activities and even saying we need a brace to help heal. I can’t imagine how many kids lives could be affected for the rest of their lives by going to this doctor. Not to mention how rude and short and defensive he was... he did not elaborate on anything like the other doctor is dead and in order for him to say anything you had to ask a direct question.

I took my son to see Dr Goggins as a second opinion. Other Doctors had recommended surgery, but Dr Goggins was able to take a more conservative approach and prescribed a brace and Physical Therapy, which corrected the problem without surgery. Much more personable than the other Orthopedic Physicians I have seen.
