Dr. Dan Mario Udrea, MD

Dr. Dan Udrea is a caring and compassionate child psychiatrist. He spends a considerable amount of time educating his patients and parents on medication's benefits and side effects. The office feels like a home and is very welcoming. I would suggest Dr. Dan Udrea to everyone!

I would give negative stars if I could. Dr. Dan approved of medicine that should never have been given to my 7 year old. My child had a severe mental change that was hostile, violent and aggressive. Dr. Dan didn't want to talk about that. He wanted to send my child to acute partial hospitalization. I refused. I left my well-paying job to take my child off of all medications and get him homebound instruction so that I could get a baseline and see what, of the many, meds was making him so different. Dr. Dan reluctantly signed off on the homebound paperwork, but did not sign off on my FMLA. (What is my 7 year old going to do stay home by himself?) I got the pediatrician to sign the FMLA forms. I got a call today that Dr. Dan and the therapist - which he was supposed to see today - were removing care because I was unwilling to put my son in partial at this immediate point in time. I had previously told him that I was willing to do partial, I even talked to the people at Wesley, (they… confirmed and agreed with my thoughts on what to do with Toby before partial) Dr. Dan just didn't want to hear it...his way or the highway. I wanted to try everything possible to help my child that wouldn't be traumatizing, before hospitalization.. but this "Dr" said no, and refuses to treat him, and told the therapist not to treat him either. Be careful with any medical "expert" you meet...often the parents are smarter and wiser than they are and they don't like that.

Excellent experience with both Dr. Dan and the the therapeutic staff. Would recommend to others
