Very excellent surgeon knows what he’s doing and explaining all of your issues and his procedures! He’s a miracle surgeon! My back pain was severe I had several issues and he help me be able to walk and live my life a lot better again! He did what other surgeon could I can now be able to live like a person my age should! He cares and he’s very explanatory! I thank God for sending him to me!

This Doctor is only looking to line his pocket ...he does not care about your health ...I went to him with numbness in my legs he told me he could operate and put rods in my back I would be a lot better ...so I had the operation ...year Later I can barely walk ..cant climb stairs ...Can,tfeel my legs ..now he won,t talk with me just his nurse ...I am much worse than I was before the operation ...Do not let this man operate on you he is a joke ...I will be consulting a Lawyer

From other reviewers it looks like it is a good thing he passed on my case. If you have a complex issue with the spinal cord he will not take you as a patient or take the time to even see you to explain what is going on. He will have a nurse call with no rational explanation of what is clearly seen on the imaging! It’s a shame that most most “neurosurgeon” are just looking for easy cases because they do not have the skill necessary to be a real NEUROSURGEON!!! The Neurological Institute in Peoria is a SCAM beware of that joke of a place!!!

Dr. Fassett went to great lengths to be sure we understood the nature of our condition and the treatment options and risks we had available. I went in very nervous and left feeling very comfortable that we had a full grasp of our situation and options. He was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him.

I've waited way too long to post this review. Doctor Fassett operated on my back in 2016 and it went horribly wrong. He did not get the length of my rods correct and caused extreme muscle damage in my back. I suffered horribly over the next year and 2 months intiI could get my corrective surgery done at Baylor Scoliosis clinic in Plano, Texas. This operation went much better and my hardware it was correctly installed. Not only did he botch the surgery, he chose to not give me anything more than aspirin for pain afterwards because of the pain medications I was on prior to my surgery. I did have a very extreme case of congenital scoliosis, But doctor facet assured me he could correct my back where I could swim, do sports and other normal activities without any problems. This was not the case!! My body was tortured over the next year and 2 months, with his end to end connections coming apart, tearing my trap on the upper right side, causing other muscular damage, making it intolerable… to live in my own skin. Many times I considered suicide to end my agony. He was responsive on text after my surgery, but had no answers for what was going on inside my body. Too many symptoms to place here, and too painful to even go back there in my mind. To this day, I am still in PT trying to repair the damage he did to me. I urge you, if you are reading this and considering back surgery, do NOT go to this doctor. Do your research and accept 5 star only reviews. Dan should not have a scalpel in his hand. A couple years later, I had a question as to why I was given only aspirin after a fusion from C3 to S1 with rod implementation. Yes, you heard that correctly!! He responded with a vague answer then blocked me!!! I'm furious as he has ruined my life and I am now on disability and can't even earn a living for myself. That surgery was a nightmare, but my nightmare continues every day!!

Dr. Fasset explains what your problem is. And shows you on the MRI. He takes the time to answer your questions. He's a great surgeon!He treats you like a person. And it is extremely appreciated!

He was very knowledgeable about my problem. He explained clearly what was wrong, and showed me my imaging so I knew what was wrong and where. Listened to what I said and was concerned. Promptly decided to help me unlike other doctors in the office. Have surgery scheduled at that appointment for 38 days later. Will be going in two days for the procedure.
