Dr. Daniel Robert Lowe, MD

He is a business man. He suggested a surgery that I did not need for my prostate. So far, I did not have his recommended prostate surgery and I feel fine. Be aware and not rush into surgery. Ask for a second opinion.

Dr. Lowe is an excellent, knowledgeable physician. He keeps up with the latest research and practice in urology. His experience and humane interactions with me, are among the best I've had with any doctor in my experience. He listed to me, answered all my questions and explained all the pros and cons of my treatment. I recommend him highly.

Has guided and educated me though my whole prostate cancer treatment. Gave the facts so I could make my own decision. Gives ample time at every visit.

Tells you all the facts and lets you know the best procedures for what you need done. I saw a few urologists but he was the only one to cure my prostatitis. I am soon going to let him preform Rezume on me.

Dealing with any chronic health issue can be disheartening and frustrating. Dr. Lowe is an excellent clinician and his compassion and attentiveness are just as wonderful as his surgical skills. I'm so grateful to have him as part of my health care team.

On my initial visit, he did not look at my list of questions with annoyance. Instead, he patiently answered in detail, so I could understand why particular procedures were needed. When the time for my cystoscopy came around, compassionate and with a great bedside manner, he even let me choose classic rock music to help me relax during an otherwise very uncomfortable procedure. His medical assistant and staff are very friendly and top notch. I would recommend Dr. Lowe to anyone. His popularity is going to make him hard to book in the future, I'm sure; nevertheless, I hope my review benefits others as the reviews of Dr. Lowe's other satisfied patients (here and elsewhere) benefited me when I was looking for a caring and knowledgeable urologist.

I initially found out through my general physician I had a tumor on my right kidney. I first met with a urology specialist my physician recommended but I was unhappy with his approach of surgery. So I did a little research online to find another specialist and came across Dr Daniel Lowe to get a second opinion. I don't know English very well, as I'm actually currently having my daughter write this review. But I had to absolutely follow up and share my experience. Dr Daniel Lowe from the start was very patient, knowledgable, kind and made sure I understand my diagnosis very clearly the entire process and options of surgery. His approach was with laparoscopic surgery, which was ease of recovery and minimal scarring. He was there every step of the way and always available on the phone if I had any questions. I highly reccomend Dr. Lowe and am very thankful I found him.

In my dealings with healthcare professionals ( I am one also), I have found very few with the skills and the positive attitude of Daniel Lowe. He is a very kind and thoughtful person who will take the time to discuss issues that are important to you. He is totally accessible to you when you need him and explains everything clearly. I am presently recovering from prostate surgery. Believe me when I tell you that is not an easy thing to be told you have cancer or to go through all of the treatment options and consequences of treatment. Dr. Lowe did this in such a kind and thoughtful way that my wife and I were able to make decisions that were in our comfort zone. As far as the surgery and the biopsy performed by Dr. Lowe, they were both done expertly and as had been described by him. If you are in need of not only an excellent urologist but also a person you can trust, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Lowe. He is not only an excellent clinician, he is more importantly a… mensch.

For years I've had severe BPH symptoms. One of the worst was having to wake up at night usually about every one-and-a-half hours or less to have to urinate. Finally I made the decision to do something about it. Dr, Lowe examined me and tried a medication, with no results. I elected to have green laser surgery to help restore normal prostate functioning. The catheter I had to use following the surgery was unpleasant, frankly. However, the result in a couple of months was very pleasing. Besides being a good diagnostician, a necessity for successful treatment, Dr. Lowe has a special quality I often find lacking in doctors---he is responsive and communicative. He always answered my questions and concerns, which I called him for and also sent him two letters. In fact, a couple of times I called in and got someone who answers the phone, and, hearing the drift of the conversation, took the phone and talked to me. This is a truly great quality of which I am most appreciative. Finally, it… didn't hurt that he has a sense of humor. Laughter can really help put an anxious patient at ease.

Great doctor, very thorough and caring. It is very rare that the doctor will actually spend time with you explaining everything and not try to get rid of you right away. Ver impressive!!!
