I went in to see Dr. Opperman about swollen nasal passages. He determined the issue to be acid reflux, despite having no symptoms. It was during this visit that he also found my septum to be fractured, requiring surgery. Dr. Opperman corrected my septum and gave me a prescription for home and OTC treatments for the acid reflux, which worked great. I'm no longer waking up unable to breathe, from an issue I didn't know I had. I recommend Dr. Opperman as a fantastic ENT specialist.

I went to see Dr Opperman as a second opinion for severe Gerd and subsequent gradual loss of voice. My Ent in Austin wanted to do a biopsy /removal of a mass on my vocal cord . After a thorough evaluation and nasal endoscopy , Dr Opperman diagnosed a vocal cord granuloma secondary to Gastro esophageal reflux . Plan . Treat Gerd with protocol ( early dinner , antacids, no alcoholic beverages etc ,and Botox laryngeal injection to relax cords . Procedure was painless in the office and I cords were paralyzed for 3 weeks . Gradually my voice has come back and on my office visit today , Granuloma has disappeared . I will continue my GERD therapy and very thankful for Dr Opperman s competence and efficiency I using the best current mode of therapy for my lesion . According to medical literature , Botox for vocal cord granuloma is treatment of choice .. invasive surgery has a hight recurrence rate and risky . Michael Grossman MD

2 surgeries within a 2 week period for unrelated issues. Rhinoplasty and reconstruction of severely broken nose. Dr. Opperman is an excellent and caring surgeon. Both surgeries were extremely successful. Dr. Opperman was recommended to me by my primary Dr., but only after I asked to see someone that she would select for herself or an immediate family member. I had to travel further than if I had selected her first suggestion, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend him for any services. His staff is equally professional and competent. During his treatment of my vocal cord issue he ordered a CT scan of my neck area. It was on this CT scan that an incurable lung disease was found. After seeing other doctors and trying virtually every non-traditional route I was referred to Dr. Opperman by several people. Right away I could appreciate why. His level of treatment for what I have is far and above anything I've experienced elsewhere. No comparison.

Dr. Opperman operated on my daughter's larynx which she crushed in a trampoline accident. He was able to give her a normal life which we didn't think was possible after such a terrible accident! Dr. Opperman is excellent. I have not been able to smell anything for 14 years and now can smell, taste and breath! I had nasal polyps removed by another ENT 12 years ago and my sense of smell did not return. This time it did within 24 hours of surgery. The recovery has been painless.
