Dr. David Brian Templin, MD

This is my fourth visit with Dr Templin. The first two were for my right shoulder and the torn rotator cuff. He injected the site and then 18 months later I came back for a second injection. No pain there since then. The next visit was for my left knee that was swollen to twice its normal size caused by a physical therapist who over worked it with the no pain no gain theory. An injection that time relieve the pain and swelling tout de suite. This last visit was for my right hip. (are you getting the picture now, yes? I am 83 years old and the old body needs a lot of maintenance). Dr Templin diagnosed the problem via X-ray and physical examinations as arthritis and told me of the various treatment methods. This is what he did for all my previous visits. He likes feed back from his patients and is NOT one of those doctors who tells you what he is going to do, he asks you what options you would like after explaining them. I told him this last time that I give him 90% of the decision… and I will take the rest. We decided to inject the site and did. I am talking about a severe pain caused by arthritis and certain movements. Here it is 2:48 AM as I write this. He injected me around 12 noon yesterday and as I sit here now, NO PAIN. See why I like the guy? Wait time to see him was short, less than 10 minutes after appointment time. Staff was very friendly, offices were very clean and the X-ray machine was state of the art. Dr Templin is my "go to guy" for anything joint or bone related. He gets 5 stars.

Dr. Templin has done total knee replacement of both my knees and I have the highest regards for him. I was very afraid to have the first surgery, but after meeting with Dr. Templin, he relieved my fears, and I followed all his instructions before and after my surgery, and within 2 months after the surgery I was doing remarkable. I had my other knee replaced one year later and he again did a remarkable job. He knows his business and has always been so very kind and concerned about my pain and treatment. It’s wonderful not having debilitating pain in my knees.

Knee is much better. I can walk pain free. Thank you!

Dr. Templin has terrible bed side manners. He acts like he is bored with the patient (me) and does not seem to enjoy his job. He has no warmth or even seems not to care, like I am a real bother to him. I was outraged when I was told that I would be charged a $10.00 fee for each page that needs to be handled by his staff, and also $10.00 if you have to talk to him. This along with his mannerism towards his patients is very disappointing. I will be changing doctors before my next check-up.

So far I have made an appt.for my husband.I have been treated like I’m bothering them with my phone call.I asked questions about which hospital he uses and can I use Imaging in New Braunfels.She was getting annoyed.I heard from my two friends that the doctor is good but the ladies up front are rude.I hope the doctor is worth it from the rude behavior upfront.I will update how it goes when my husband sees the doctor.How he acted,time,how concerned he was,etc.

You wait forever to see him once he comes in he's there all of 3 minutes and is rude and degrading he makes you feel unimportant and shows zero effort in your well being much less what your going through. You will get the run around constantly and he shows absolutely no remorse for your pain and definitely doesn't try to do anything to find and fix the problem or try to keep you comfortable in the mean time. It's all about how fast he can get u out and get his money absolutely the worst Dr I've ever had the displeasure of seeing!

Dr. Templin and his staff were so kind and courteous. It is evident that they truly care about people and that they work hard to meet the needs of the patients. Under Dr. Templkn's care, my dislocated elbow is well on its way to a quick and complete recovery.

Dr. David B. Templin was charged by the board staff of "Failing to adequately assess the patients complaints, including leg pain and shortness of breath, and consequently failed to diagnose the patients deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Additionally charged that Dr. Templin's medical records for the patient were inadequate, causing the patient to die of a pulmonary embolism 24 hours after Dr. David B. Templin preformed surgery on the patient.
