Dr. Dean Lars Carlson, MD

What I liked about him was that suspected it could be something more serious and blood work showed. He called me personally to discuss what should be done.

After several years of OWCP and my employer dismissing the test results and findings of my treating doctors I was sent to Dr. Carlson for a referee examination to determine level of permanency . He was the first doctor that OWCP had sent me to that actually thoroughly read my entire file from both my work related accidents and examined me appropriately. To their dismay, Dr. Carlson agreed with my treating physicians and stated that my permanent disabilities were indeed related to my worker's comp accidents and although OWCP continues to try to dispute this his exam was monumental in getting my case overturned and I appreciate he took the time that he did with my file because if nothing , I can now walk away from this with feeling of vindication and no longer being judge by OWCP and the idiot management of the postal service.

In my opinion hes not at all honest and couldnt diagnose a common cold let alone orthopedic problem. i feel he takes money from the govt. in exchange for siding with them instead of being fair and impartial as asked to be. To me thats corruption at its finest and probably illegal and at the least unethical. Anyone who is forced to go see him be prepared for the worst as he is , i feel dishonest to a fault and good luck !

This doctor shows little respect for his patient's intelligence. He told me nothing about my condition that I didn't already know and was not responsive to my questions and requests. He was dismissive of my concerns.His office is antiquated - no digital xrays, no easy access to an MRI. His office also has no respect for my time. I had to take half a day off work to get this appointment.Don't go here expecting intelligence and respect, because you won't get it.

I went to his office thinking I had a pulled muscle, came out needing a replacement hip and totally confused. I'm 50, not over weight, no hip problems in my family and by ONE x-ray her determined that I needed (no other alternatives) surgery. Please do yourself a favor and get another opinion, I did, and don't need that surgery!
