I had a complex case of strabismus where both of my eyes had some degree of horizontal, vertical, and rotational deviation. This was caused by hydrocephalus and a brain tumor. Due to limitations in the number of muscles that can be operated on in a single procedure, I required multiple surgeries to have my eyes aligned. He is one of the few strabismus surgeons that I believe was qualified enough to correct my eyes, which he did.

Dr. Cestari and his entire staff were wonderful. They made everything as easy as possible. He took the time to explain everything to me from the initial consult to Post Op. I would highly recommend him. He is the best!

Dr. Cestari's office is very busy but efficient. I've had three appointments with him and 2 of the 3 times I was taken early. All three times there have been different Residents there, but all have been well informed. Dr. Cestari has a pleasant manner about him, personalizes his visits, but, most importantly, he is able to diagnose and correct eye issues.

I have met with Dr. Cestari three times. One pre-op appointment, the day of surgery, and one post-op. Each time he gave me great confidence in his competence. Dr. Cestari was the last of several doctors that I consulted for my case of adult strabismus. None of them offered me the trust, expertise, and respect that he did. During the visit he handled the teaching of his trainees and all my concerns with clarity, professionalism and balance. His teamwork, even during the difficulties of the pandemic, was always responsive and kind. The strabismus surgery on both eyes went well. Dr Cestari recently did strabismus surgery on my 25yr old daughter who is on the Autism spectrum. She was difficult during her pre op appointments due to high anxiety. I was born with a crossed eye and never thought anything about having it corrected because, quite frankly, I didn't think there were any solutions. After contacting Mass Eye and Ear, it turned out I was a perfect candidate for the corrective surgery, and Dr. Cestari made the entire procedure so easy. I had my 3-month post-op appointment yesterday, and I'm so excited that my eyes no longer cross when my glasses are off! He and his team are wonderful to deal with, and although there was some time spent being uncomfortable with my very red eyes, in the end, it's all worth it! Thanks Dr. Cestari and your whole office!

After developing strabismus (double vision) as a forty year old, I was told by quite a few doctors that my only solution was prism glasses and living with a diagnosis that precludes me from lasik surgery to correct nearsightedness. After a bit of a wait and a constructive consultation, Dr Cestari was able to cotrect my double vision and get me on a path to corrected vision through lasik. He has a patient and reassuring bedside manner and that means a lot when your vision is on the line. His staff was top notch and I was happy to see him training the next cohort of ace surgeons.

Dr. Cestari surgically corrected my double vision, and I am very pleased and thankful with the results.
