Not sure how as an Orthopedic Surgeon you would diagnose someone with a broken ankle when the x-ray that was read clearly shows the break being at the top of the foot. We were told my daughter had a broken ankle when she wasn't even complaining of pain in her ankle, only the top of the foot. She was then put in a CAM boot that was far too large and told to put weight on it as tolerated. Well thankfully I work at an Orthopedic office and was able to get a second opinion today which showed it was in fact the top of her foot that had the fracture, not the ankle. Bearing weight would have only caused more pain not to mention the foot needed to be put in a cast. This doctor and Mercy in Rockford, as a whole is a joke. If you want to waste money go there.. if you want good care, go anywhere else.

I was worried about going in to a new doctor, but Dr Fochios put me at ease, answered all my many questions, and explained why he was recommending this treatment. I felt he knew what he was talking about. He ordered ice, exercises and shot and explained why an MRI wasn’t called for and would only ‘muddy the waters’. His staff couldn’t have been nicer either!

went to my pain dr - he ordered MRI and I had complete tear at lateral and medial root menicus -along with a flap tear. Basically he looked at my knee and said just do these exercises, no need to schedule any future appointments- I have medicare/medicaid ( this happens frequently)
