Hard to believe that my hip replacement and recovery was so fast and my return to normal 'complete'. Dr. Jones was fantastic and had me back to my very active life within less than two months.

I have severe pain in my knees and have trouble walking and going up stairs....I have gone to aerobics, 3 to 4 times a week, since 1989 and have not been able to work out without excruciating pain in my knees, for over a year now. Dr. Jones' tech took x.rays ....when Dr. Jones came into my examining room, he came in with a condescending and flippant attitude. He didn.t explain anything to me about the x.rays, nor did he even examine my knees. He. suggested that I find easier exercises to do and that, with my age, (a robust and healthy 65, by my opinion ), that my knees are shot and that is to be expected at my age. I asked what I can do about my pain and he said to just tolerate it until I.m 70, and then, at that time, I can have knee surgery. I walked out disgusted and made an appt with another ortho surgeon. I took my x.rays from Dr Jones, with me, to my new Dr. He explained the x.rays to me, and showed how I have bone against bone and the degeneration is quite severe.. He… explained ways in which I can modify my aerobics, but still exercise...Then he gave me cortisone injections in both knees, to relieve my pain and set me up with physical therapy for my knees,with specific exercises with which to strengthen the muscles around my knees, to widen the gap between my knee joint bones.....after 3 months of PT, we will review my case to see if it is advisable to proceed with the technique of adding a cushioning substance between the bones of my knee joint....Dr Sellman at the FL Orthopedic Institute had solutions and was encouraging and very friendly. Dr Jones, on the other hand, was flippant and condescending, with no solutions, saying that I was older and needed to accept it. Dr Jones gets a big ZERO from me.

I was basically verbally attacked when dr knew nothing about me.

Dr Jones is not only nice and has a great bedside manner but he is a great surgeon. Dr Jones is always an advocate for his patients.

When I broke my ankle I was taken care of by Dr Dennis Jones and his staff of very caring professionals.... They were all extremely compassionate, very knowledgeable, and helped to make every follow-up visit go as smoothly as possible. Awesome Bone Experts!!
