Summary
Dr. Carr was born 18 Nov 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA. He grew up in rural Central Florida and attended the University of Florida (Team Captain 1983-84) on a baseball schlorship. In 1984 he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox and played 4 seasons of minor league baseball. After sustaining a career ending shoulder injury he entered medical school on a Navy scholarship in 1989. Dr. Carr has served aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) as the general medical officer, Naval Hospital, GITMO as the Orthopaedic Surgeon, and in Operation Enduring Freedom. He is currently serves as an Orthopaedic consultant to Naval Special Warfare and is the Head of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Bone & Joint Sports Medicine Institute, NMC- Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Carr is married with two children.
