Dr. Steven J Rizzolo, MD

My significant other and I have recently had surgeries performed by Dr. Rizzolo. He repaired her fractured femur, and performed a laminectomy on me. Both of us are very pleased with the results. Dr. Rizzolo carefully explained the expected outcomes and the risks associated with each procedure. The outcomes were just as he had predicted. His staff was friendly and professional-with a special word of praise for Ace.

Dr. Rizzolo repaired my back in 1996. Without it I would not be walking today. He did an excellent job and would not hesitate driving from Billings to see him. Very professional kept me informed every step of the way. Thanks Doc!! Jay Rosin

Very good doctor and tells it the way it is. Does not do surgery unless it is necessary. Very happy about that. Would recommend him if you want to hear the truth.

Dr. Rizzolo performed emergency hip surgery for a fractured hip. He came by once for one minute a few days after surgery. He never answered my question regarding the kind of fracture and surgery I had. He also failed to give me discharge instructions. I am still home without post surgery instructions. Nor do I have a follow-up appointment with him regardless of the many phone calls I have made to his practice. I spoke with my orthopedic surgeon from New Jersey and she explained that this was a major breach on his part. As a doctor myself I would encourage his patients to be adamant about getting the information and the kind of care that patients in our country are entitled to.

Crushed vertebrae. Guy cut off my pain pills for a crushed vertebrae before it healed. Said he didn't want to deal with it. I went to a Surgeon in Phoenix who stabilized it with an epoxy. Better but not great.

took everything away from me i can't live like this other docs don't care i'm surprised american health care is this terrible ... don't ever trust this guy he will sell a surgery like a used car

He is a very caring doctor who only wants the best for you. He says it like it is if you need surgery or if you don't. I needed surgery for rupture disc. He try to prevent it but it didn't work. Had surgery and he was very caring after the surgery to make sure I healed right and I was back to normal. I would go to him and I would recommend him.

Very poor with communication and empathy,when asked a question by him I hesitated he then said" I'm going to leave the room and you think about it"I would recommend seeing another surgeon it's your body
