Dr. Donald Eugene Heitman, MD

I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism of Dr. Heitman and his accommodating staff. I presented as an emergency case when I landed in the emergency room at Englewood Hospital when a strong gust of wind hurled me 15 feet into the street into the path of oncoming traffic. The impact of the fall caused the neck of my femur to snap off, requiring an emergency hemiarthroplasty. Dr. Heitman was ready to do the surgery late into the evening which impressed me very much. But even more important I had an underlying condition of EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) which made the case even harder. This didn't discourage Dr. Heitman who took all the necessary steps to address this condition by customizing the sutures and placing a long abduction brace on the surgical leg. Dr. Heitman is a devoted, caring, and highly gifted surgeon. His staff reflects his patient-centered approach. Nellie is very sweet. Joanne is very attentive. And Eric is a very good listener. If I could give more than 5… stars I most certainly would. What a blessing to find such a conscientious and caring surgeon, especially under these circumstances of having been a casualty of such an odd weather event. years back went to Gotham Clifton, NJ Dr. H examined my son for a bad knee , sports injury. When i asked him to look at the other knee too, he REFUSED. He stated, "we are here for this knee"! When you go to the eye doctor, do they just examine just one eye? Absurd, rude and obnoxious bed side manner.

I saw Dr Heitman yesterday in Englewood, NJ for shoulder and arm pain. Very knowledgeable and has a great personality. The entire office staff was exceptional. A very refreshing change from what I experience at most other medical offices.
