I am a Parkinson’s (PD) patient....I was diagnosed in my early 50’s and thought my lijfe was ending. A friend saw an article in our local newspaper about DBS that following Monday. With much fear and wanting hope to feel better,my sister and I along with our husbands, attended the seminar. I cried acter Dr. Smith and his assistant Teri because they were so encouraging and reassuring that we both made appointments. Instantly I knew that i had found the very best doctor, Let alone very best huerologistmin the USA.......he made a very risky and scary procedure feel like it was nothing. Even the recovery was great......I will say though he haircuts are not his expertise.......so very blessed to Have him Placed in my life at just the right time. Thank you Jesus and Dr. Donald Smith for making my journey with PD so much better??

Dr Smith operated on me twice several months apart. I'm a difficult Iris patient and he brought me through both surgeries without incident.. I was so blessed to have had him for a doctor and I dread the day he is going to retire! We need to have more Dr like Dr Smith who actually listened to that patients concerns and don't make you feel like he has to be somewhere else more important! A wonderful human being God bless you Dr Smith!

Dr. Donald Smith focuses on YOU the patient at all times. He possesses excellent assessment skills. You never feel rushed during your medical office visit. This is a surgeon who continually tries other medical treatments and never rushes into surgery. You may wait months for an appointment and months for surgery, but by then you will know that surgery is necessary at that time.

Dr. Donald Smith was absolutely excellent at his bedside manner diagnosis and timeliness to fit me in for surgery and he was highly recommended by many surgeons and other doctors . My orthopedic doctor felt comfortable with having Dr. Donald Smith do my surgery that is upcoming. He took his time like I was his only patient to go over everything with me show me exactly what he was looking at and the plan of care and then he had his assistant follow up with me in mediately for a surgery date . I will update the review once I am recovering from surgery which I'm sure will be great . I recommend getting more than one opinion as Dr. Donald Smith was right on target with the mayo clinic opinion and I have decided to have Donald Smith is my surgeon .
