Dr. Donald S. Stewart

After I had a Bi-Malleolus fracture of my Right ankle (during the Corona Virus), He was available to get me in right away, even with quarantine in full effect. I was seen in his office on a Friday, and after assessment he said I would have surgery in a week, due to my skin having quite a few "fracture blisters" and he wanted to be sure those healed a bit before operating. He addressed every concern I brought to him, and he gave valid answers that left me feeling confident and calm regarding my surgery. Even on my post op appointment he was quick, but very thorough and got to the point on where I was at and what the next steps were. I am in the healthcare field myself, and even run a couple of Urgent Care Centers in Dallas, so I know how important patient information is and communication is vital. He impressed me, and I will not hesitate to use him again, should I need any orthopedic needs in the future!

I was sent to Dr. Stewart by my doctor because X-rays showed a bone chipped off my 3rd toe. Dr. Stewart practically argued with me insisting it was a torn ligament and NO bone chip. I kept saying, precious X-rays say there is. His arragant bedside matter finally offered to go look at the X-rays on a computer screen. He left...he came back and guess what? He discovered a chipped bone. I will never go back to him again. Arlington Orthopedic is a wonderful group of doctors. To bad Dr Stewart couldn’t read my X-rays. He sent me away with instructions to buy new shoes.

Dr. Stewart took me from a really bad situation where I had terrible pain could not hardly walk and had a deep infection in my left foot and ankle and together we decided the best thing to do for a better quality of life for me was to do a below the knee amputation and a prosthetic leg. I am so happy with this decision am pain free and can do almost everything I find before. He is fantastic and caring. I would recommend him 200%.

Oddly enough I broke my foot walking down my RV steps. With my situation, surgery with plate, screws and bone graft was the best option for my situation. Bone is healing fine. Had a little difficulty with Achilles Tendonitis afterwards, but healing. Dr. Stewart was very attentive and explained everything. His staff, MA and disability coordinator, were very responsive. All visits I was seen within a reasonable amount of time except once. Not a problem for me though. Therapy associated with his office went good, too. My therapist listened to my concerns and adjusted therapy just for me. Overall, I would consider this an extremely positive experience from my misfortunate accident.

I went from being a 29 year old former athlete to difficulties running all the way to having difficulties with daily activities. Dr. Stewart did a great job getting me back to ankle stability I hadn’t had since a high school injury. I am beyond pleased with my new active life that improved ankle stability and gave me strength to return to all activities, including dance, yoga, and running.

Dr Stewart did an awesome job repairing my daughters ankle. He was focused on quick healing so that she could get back to athletics and play baseball this spring. He cares about his patients.

Very negative experience. If you ask questions or comment, he reacts in very unecessarily rude manner as if excessive questioning or interfering with his process.

always in a big hurry after you waited 2 hours to see him because he was late..

He was very honest open and made a procedure I need to have make more sense and not as horrible as I was told by another physician, he took the time to assure I understood everything about the procedure completely before leaving. I am in the process of scheduling the procedure I have the utmost confidence about the success after speaking with him
