Dr. Douglas Wesley Cook, MD

From initial office consult through conclusion of my surgery, Dr. Cook was amazing and I was lucky to have had him as my surgeon. Highly talented and put me at ease. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to my family and friends.

Never spoke to me before or after surgery. My surgery was traumatic. I has a colonoscopy and was not administered enough anaesthesia. In fact, I believe none was administered. I screamed in pain, my body was dripping with sweat. My labor pains and contractions when I have birth were a walk in the breeze compared to this sham of a doctor.

Found Dr. Cook to be interested in my health and the pain I was in. He answered my questions about having my gallbladder out, and explained what I shouldn't eat to help alleviate symptoms prior to surgery which I chose to schedule months away. Prior to the actual surgery, he came in and asked if I had any other questions, dialoged with me, and assured me he would take good care of me. I had 4 tiny incisions which healed well, though the belly button was the most sensitive but not painful. He was prompt with appointments, kind, and I had every confidence in him and his abilities. I would recommend others to utilize his services. Nothing more reassuring than a man of God operating on me.

I wasn't happy with how this doctor communicated with me. I had my first surgery which was my gallbladder. He never checked on me after surgery and wanted to see me 2 weeks after surgery. Before 2 weeks I had really bad pain on my ribs so I made an appointment to see him. He told me "well yeah its your ribs" but didn't explain why. I told him I had bruising on my belly button, his response is "well that is where we took it out at." His responses were very quick and didn't explain nothing. I will NEVER go back and will NEVER refer someone to him. Before he left he told me he does bible study on Saturday's and for me to go.
