Dr. Douglas Allan Kohl, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Douglas Kohl for the past 10 years. He has taken excellent care of my vision and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends for glaucoma treatment. Dr. Kohl is very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and takes as much time as necessary to fully explain my testing and consult with me thoroughly. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions in a very professional manner, I feel very confident with his treatment of my glaucoma and trust his judgement completely. He has always explained all of the treatment options with regard to my glaucoma and I have appreciated his conservative approach to my treatment, He is an excellent glaucoma surgeon and has been personally dedicated to taking the best care of my vision. Dr. Kohl came into his office on a Sunday because he received a call from me about seeing flashes in my eye and didn't want me to wait another day to see an eye doctor. I live in New York and he is not my doctor but he came in on his day off to help me! He could not have been more thorough or nicer. I highly recommend him to everyone!!!!

Always takes 3 or more hours to see the doctor. If your appointment is at 9am, do not expect to see him before noon.

Pre-cataract measurements were wrong which resulted in my poor eyesight after cataract surgery. Dr. Kohl should have rechecked measurements.
