Dr. Jaicharan Jaiprakash Iyengar, MD

I suffered a severe left shoulder injury with 6 fractures and a subluxation. Saw Dr J. Ivengar for over a year. The super conservative plan was offered to me with two steroid injections which, while painless, did little to assist healing nor return me to any semblance of a pre-injury life. I have poor ROM and very limited function of my left dominant arm which was, in reality, my only functional arm. Very disappointing, indeed, after aggressive self active exercise 3 hrs a day. I am seeking a ortho surgeon of compassion and courage to help me become functional again, perhaps pain will lessen as well, mostly I need my arm and a life back. Dr. Iyengar talked about options but truly offered nothing but endless flat screen x-rays in the office and touted self healing over 2-3 years. I noted on Healthgrades, reviewers were overwhelmingly men. I felt unheard, and ultimately unhealed. Cannot recommend.

I have seen Dr. Iyengar several times for a knee injury. He is very thorough and explains diagnosis, and treatments in detail. He always gives you his full attention and has great bedside manner. I will recommend him to any family or friend that has any knee or shoulder issue.
