Dr. Robert Jon Berkowitz, MD

I did not care for this doctor at all, he knew I am caring for a special needs adults son, and in terrible pain, sat there and told me my four options, without going into what those four options would entail, I basically told him I was not there to play games. He was the doctor, and he should explain the options as he has the know how. I’ve been in terrible pain, and the team when I left a message did not get back to me Regarding some kind of pain management in the interim. I would not recommend him. They also originally called me the day of the appointment to cancel saying I needed to see another doctor and when I said the other doctor told me to see Dr. Berkowitz they let me come in.

I understand that it's hard to work in this profession. I really do. There are people that are made for this and then there is this, Doctor. I cannot believe he is allowed to continue in this highly respected field. My appointment was met with insults and bashing the doctor who recommended I see a spine Doctor. I scheduled with Dr. Berkowitz read some reviews and thought ok let's go with him. Within the first 3 minutes of my appointment, he continuously bashed my doctor and continued to tell me that my doctor was not a real doctor. He was really stuck on repeat. I thought I was in the twilight zone. I noticed his demeanor changing. He was condescending and downright rude. All I could do was say excuse me?? I WAS IN SHOCK!! I still am. I stopped the appointment and said were done. He said he would refer me to a REAL Doctor. All I could muster out of my mouth was No Thank You!!! Before he opened the door to leave, he said I only deal in facts! If you don't want facts then I don't know… what to tell you. Well, no kidding Sherlock!! That's why I was there. I wish i would have read more reviews. There are other people that have complained. Of the handful of doctors that I have seen in all my years I've never witnessed such disturbing behavior.

A wonderful man who changed my life. He was clear about my options and supported my decision to have surgery. I can now stand straight with absolutely no pain. He treats me as a person, not only a patient. I will never forget him.

Very rude, told me to “deal with it” even though I have a painful spine injury then proceeded to talk badly about me to another doctor because I was crying due to the fact I had to quit sports because of my injury.

Dr. Berkowtiz is an excellent doctor. He gave me my life back after spinal surgery. He is quite thorough and gave great explainations. His skill and intelligence are superior and I would reccommend him to anyone!

From my first visit, I had absolute confidence in Dr. Berkowitz and staff. My condition was explained in terms I could understand, along with all possible options. He personally stepped in to move up a scheduled test when my condition worsened. Everyone is so nice and you are made to feel important. I have highly recommend Dr. Berkowitz to friends.

DR Berkowicz is a true professional just a out standing spine surgeon could not had a better doctor to tend to my disc problem neck area I also had both shoulders reveral surgery with DR ROBERT ZANOTTI another true professional THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL CARE IN MY MOST PAINFUL MOMENTS CAROLYN JARVIS

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Berkowitz. I had been in significant back and leg pain for approximately 6 months. After going through physical therapy for several rounds, I discovered Dr. B. The MRI showed severe lumbar issues to the point he said that he didn't know how I was walking. We determined surgery was my best course of action. I am ecstatic to report that I have been 100 % pain free. Within 4 months I was back to performing all normal activities including working out and tennis. I cannot give Dr. Berkowitz enough stars. I hold no reservations as to referring others to him for spinal issues.

I have suffered from arthritis in my back for years. I have been on pain management, but still had lots of pain. Dr. Berkowitz performed surgery and I had immediate relief. The surgery was major, but went extremely well, and my recovery has been great! He is a miracle worker! Most highly recommended!

Dr. Berkowitz was extremely professional and if your someone who wants to hear things the way they really are,hes the guy for you. He tells you your options and then let's you decide what you want to do. I've seen him for years for my back, a torn meniscus and now my shoulder last Oct. He has never tried to force or persuade me one way or the other, and after talking to him years ago right before my scheduled meniscus surgery , he told.me that if I was feeling good then dont do the surgery. I didnt and haven't had one regret. My shoulder surgery and recovery went great and within 5 months I was already starting back working out and feeling stronger week to week.
