Dr. Yale Mayer Cohen, MD

DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR. I came in for help with one vein—already diagnosed by two other doctors. He pushed for three unnecessary procedures just because insurance approved them, even though he admitted he wasn’t sure those veins were causing my issue. When I asked to reschedule (not cancel), they yelled at me, made me cry, and forced me to pay $200. They refused to let me see another doctor in the clinic unless I agreed to procedures I didn’t want. I was pressured into doing one, now left with an open wound and no follow-up. Megan even hung up on me while I was crying. I’ve never been so humiliated in a medical setting. I am filing official complaints with the Florida Medical Board and my insurance provider. This was not patient care — it was manipulation and financial abuse.

Dr. Cohen has given me wonderful care as my cardiologist since my heart attack in 2023. He orders all important tests and is very accessible at his office in Hollywood. He has a wonderful and warm personality and keeps me fully informed as to my condition. I feel blessed to be in his care.

Office staff is very polite. Dr Cohen is gentle and never appears to looked rushed. He ordered an MRI that revealed 50% scarring of my heart and immediately consulted with an electrophysiologist and heart failure specialist to prevent me from having sudden cardiac death. So thankful for his expertise in preventing me from premature sudden cardiac death. Thank you Dr Cohen !!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Cohen by my Primary Care Provider; waited over 3 weeks for this appointment. I arrived at the office and the front desk personnel were extremely rude from the beginning. They had my first name wrong. No chairs to sit in order to fill the questionnaire they give you, and when I moved a chair that was facing the table the receptionist yelled at me like to a child. I had to go outside to fill this out. When I came back another receptionist takes my papers with all my personal information, and proceeds to inform me that for a 1st visit I had to prepay $199, just to see the doctor.. I cancelled my visit right there. And I will be watching closely to make sure they do not charge my insurance for a consultation that did not take place.

DR Cohen is a very pleasant and professional also a good and great doctor

Dr Cohen is that dream doctor/cardiologist! He is always on top of your situation. He quickly pulls up your records and starts the appointment. He discusses any concerns he has with you. He never hurries you out the office. I have many doctors, but Dr Yale Cohen is the only one that asks me at the end of the appointment if I have any concerns that I want to talk about - and slides his chair back and waits to hear me. That alone, gets my respect.

Front desk Staff are uneducated about insurances charges, or deductibles. After collecting from insurance over thousand of $, (twice what I was told) including my $500 deductible, they still sent an invoice for less than $100 to collection after I asked and called many times to reconcile the remaining balance and every time I was told by the staff you Owe Nothing, but still I have to pay the collection company after I was threatened by them to ruin my excellent credit; finally after many calls they admit they did send this invoice to collections...horrible experience...no more!

My husband and I both go to Dr. Cohen for our health needs. We are very happy with him. He is warm, caring and knowledgeable. He treats us like family. We love him and we highly recommend this gentleman to anyone who is looking for an excellent medic ! Thanks, Dr. Cohen, for your exceptional service.

Dr.Cohen is amazing . All of his staff are so nice and helpful.My mother and i both go there and i would recommend him to any one with heart or leg problems . We never wait long to see the doctor .His medical assistants always take us back right away.

Dr. Cohen was thorough, professional and kind; from the first introductory appointment through the 3 procedures I had done to the last follow up appointment. His staff was excellent as well.
