Dr. Evan David Schumer, MD

Dr Schumer is running a factory. He doesn’t take any time with the patient. The good reviews are from people who just got better. He completely mismanaged my treatment and took me out of a cast when it wasn’t totally healed, creating long term bone displacement. I eventually went to another doctor and had to have surgery.

Dr.Schumer saw today my son who broke his hand. I was not sure who we were seeing as the person (in a mask of course) who looked like he was going to the beach wearing shorts with no identifying badge walked in the exam room and without greeting or introducing himself started asking questions. I had to stop him and ask who he was. WaDr.Schumer was in the room for 2.5 minutes, did not give me opportunity to ask questions - just walked out after his monologue about fracture. We left frustrated and confused. Bad bedside manner, bad attitude, unprofessional overall.

I am writing on behalf of Michelle Keating who had surgery yesterday with Dr. Schumer and his incredible staff. From start to finish the crew at NWOA was at the top of their game and offered a friendly, informative and professional experience second to none. The facility is first-rate, every employee extremely helpful and genuinely concerned and it made what can be a challenging experience in to a seamless process that went superbly from start to finish. I have never met a group of more caring, empathetic, and qualified group of people. Dr. Schumer is incredible but so is the team There is no one else that I trust with my hand.

Super nice man, very attentive, woman will especially enjoy the experience. Mixture of brains, wit and brawn. Lovely person.

My very favorite doctor in my favorite hospital. Dr. Shumer's the best, and I should know.... I've had FIVE hand surgeries by him. His staff is friendly, and he easily instills confidence. Not bad on the eyes either LOL.

I waited for more than one hour and he spent maybe 5 minutes with me. When I asked him about my condition, he suggested that I google for it. I replied and said I like a doctor's opinion, he said check the practice's website - "you can trust that website" Sounds unbelievable but it really did happen - I'm surprised such doctor exists.

Dr. Schumer is a very caring surgeon. I never feel rushed when I am in his office. He has performed three surgeries on my arm and hand. I trust him totally.

My wife had an unexpected reaction to a cortisone injection he administered on a Friday. Over the weekend he did research via medical journals and calls to the manufacturer to determine what had caused her reaction. He called us several times over the weekend to check on her condition and update us with what he had found out.
