Don’t go here without at least getting a second opinion. Dr Techy told me I needed 2 possibly 3 surgeries. He made it sound like there was very little down time (no big deal) and never mentioned the fact that after getting one of those surgeries, that would have a domino effect which would mean one surgery after another up my spine decreasing my mobility with each one. Next surgeon said there is no way he would operate on me, at least not without trying more conservative measures first. He lost his privileges at UCHealth. Not sure why, but definitely a red flag. Beware!

I have seen Dr. Techy twice in the office, and he seems to know what he’s talking about, but I haven’t actually had a procedure done yet. I’ve called about 6 times trying to get them to send in the order for a steroid injection over the past several weeks, and it still hasn’t been done. It doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in this doctor. If I ever needed surgery I definitely wouldn’t come here, they might forget!!

After suffering from neuralgia in all my limbs, pain in my neck and back for a few years after a car accident when a conservative surgeon said I was 50/50 for surgery and did nothing but send me to a pain specialist who only band-aided it with medicine and ineffective treatments. Dr. Techy got to the root of the problem, performed a cervical mobi-c implantation that has had tremendous success in alleviating most all of my problems. When I was initially diagnosed with a C5-7 neck vertebrae displacement my family orthopedic surgeon advised me to get second opinions. When I asked for names he did not hesitate to refer me to Dr Fernando Techy. Upon reviewing my initial scans Dr Techy immediately ordered more detailed pictures and stayed to meet with me further the very same morning. After lengthy consult he explained in detail to me the complexity of my situation and exactly what needed to be done. He won me over with his thoroughness and attention to detail. After spending over 4 hours in surgery repairing my neck a few weeks later, I entered a period of recovery where Dr Techy even went so far as to use the latest bone growth stimulation therapies to make sure my neck healed in the best way possible. The result was a complete fusion with virtually no loss in my neck range of motion. Today, three years later I have absolutely no symptoms and have long since returned to a completely normal life. Most… recently I had a repeat set of MRI and x-rays done as a three year check up. Afterwards the tech at the third party hospital who performed the scans pulled me aside and asked me "if a friend had performed my surgery?" I asked him why he was asking and he responded that it was the "cleanest and most extraordinary neck fusion he had every seen performed, and he had seen a lot." To me this outside affirmation just served to reinforce what I had observed first hand, Dr Techy is a special doctor and I could not be more happy that I put my future in his hands.

Dr. Techy is what I hoped for. I have had 12 surgeries where general anesthesia was used (I was totally under) and my body was repaired in some way. I know what to look for and what I want and don't want in a surgeon. Dr. Techy performed a revision (re-do) surgery on the lumbar area of my spine to correct a prior surgery performed by a different surgeon. Dr. Techy is very personable and yet professional. We patients are people in real pain or need of help to him, not just clients or money to be made. He really listens to what I have to say and addresses my detailed questions with knowledge and models showing me the answer to my questions while explaining them also. I only wish Dr. Techy had done my first lumbar surgery. If I ever need spine surgery again, I will definitely go to Dr. Techy. Get it done correctly the first time, go to Dr. Techy.

Dr Techy did a disc replacement on my c-5 TO C-6 disc. Everything went perfect and I would recommend him to anyone. The only bad thing I would mention is that he wasn't able to spend much time with me after the surgery.
