Dr. Firdaus Hashim, MD

Last week I was having trouble. I called Dr. Hashim and even tho it was her day off she went to her office to help me out. I don't know any other Doc who would come in on their off to help a patient! Thank you for being a Doc who cares about her patients! I would recommend her to anyone.

worst place to receive any type of treatment. Dr Hashim has zero empathy. This is not about drugs or the office. This is about her behavior as a physician which is questionable and unethical. I have been of patient of Dr Hashim for many years and her attitude never changed even though I hoped it would. I only hate myself for continuing to stay in her practice and not leaving sooner. It is very difficult for patients to locate a pain management doctor and Dr Hashim knows this and uses it to mistreat patients and talk down to them. She talks down to her own staff and that's why every visit there is someone new. her staff leaves because they can't tolerate her moods and hostile work environment. In a year she has gone through at least 4 nurses. Her staff is the only thing she has that is good. She is a vile human being and should be stripped of her license. She cares for no one but herself promoting injections when they are not medically needed. Most doctors care about their patients but… this doctor only cares about money.... her reputation speaks for itself. Read not only reviews from her previous patients but also from her employees. Good Riddance!

Dr. Hashim is the best pain management physician I have seen! She is highly skilled at all different types of injections after having 7 back surgeries, she has managed my pain through injections and pain medications. Dr. Hashim is thorough, follows all regulations regarding opiates, which in return makes me feel safer. Any chronic pain patient knows the requirements and should expect to follow the rules. Dr. Hashim is compassionate. Office visits do last an hour. Waiting room is neat and clean, staff very thorough. Expect a thirty minute wait, and a tip, when scheduling ask if there’s a new patient before you, if yes, you may wait longer. The reason is she gives her patients the time they need. Dr. Hashim provides injections at 4 different places. I always choose the Naperville Surgicenter, and Dr. Hashim has a great team that work with her.

I suffer from chronic pain in several areas of my body and have been seeing Dr. Hashim on and off for years. I am self-employed and do not have insurance so surgery is not currently an option for me. She is willing to work with her patients to find a way to manage or eliminate their pain so that they can carry on their day to day. I wouldn't go to anybody else for pain management!

I’ve been in severe pain for the last 25 years and no doctor could find the source. I’ve had too many x-rays, MRI’s and quite a few unnecessary surgeries. I was originally sent to Hashim so that she could “manage” my pain meds. She asked about my history and wanted a current MRI, reluctantly I had another one. Hashim was able to find what she thought was the source of my pain. I had my first epidural injection 2 weeks ago and was pain free within 2 days! She has literally given me a new life! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I've had chronic pain most of my life and have seen different doctors for solutions. Dr. Hashim has seen me for 5yrs or so and she has really helped me feel better. She listens and works to find best course of action. Very happy I found her!

I recently moved from another state and chose Dr. Hashim because her office was close to my house. She is by far the worst doctor I have ever met, and she is very unethical such that I filed a report with the state, only to retract because the process is cumbersome and public. 1.) She took 3.5 hours during my first appointment; 2.) She immediately said I needed steroid injections in my back when I told her that I have had them for years and they don't work, and I already head 3 in the past 6 months (the limit is 2-3 per year). 3.) Post twighlight sedation for the injection, she is the only doctor that did not come out to see her patient (me) to check on me. 4.) After her injection did not work and I came back for an appointment, she sent her assistant in to ask me if I wanted another surgical injection, and when I said no, stormed into the room and exploded with anger. 5.) After I forgot the empty bottle of my medication which I absolutely need for pain due to a degenerative spine,… two herniated discs and swelling from a recent spinal fusion, she refused to prescribe me medicine. When I asked if I could go home and get the bottle because I lived 3 minutes away, she said no and said she isn't going to prescribe me medicine unless I agreed to another surgical procedure. 6.) When I tried to explain my level of pain, she refused to listen and stormed out of the room; 7.) She kept the door open to my patient room during my exam and spoke so loud that everyone could hear my personal story and the lobby just starred at me when I left. 8. Her staff warned me, "she is crazy" and said, "don't listen to her." I wrote this review to warn everyone about my horrible experience and her unethical and un-compassionate practice.
