Dr. Hector Mauricio Suncin Trejo, MD

This doctor, at our initial meeting, decided he wanted to take me off my Adderall (class started that same day) and my insomnia medications because there were too many. Instead of weaning me off, I was cut off cold turkey. He kept interrupting me when I spoke and didn’t care what I had to say. So that same week, I didn’t go to class. I couldn’t function or focus on class. Then I started spiraling downhill. That Saturday I called the police for help. I didn’t do anything to myself but I needed to be in a safe place where I could get help. Inpatient for one week. I wouldn’t have had to go through that if he didn’t do what he did. Cutting someone off cold turkey is DANGEROUS! I’m in contact with the Texas medical board and will be filing a complaint. I suggest more of you do the same to get this guy out of practice. Dr Suncin is rude, does not listen to you, jumps to conclusions way too fast, doesn’t remember what he says and accuses you of taking medications wrong, and has a very authoritarian, unempathetic demeanor, tone and way of speaking. I saw him twice and rather wait months to see a new psychiatrist than waste my money on horrible, ineffective service.

Dr. Suncin was 15 minutes late to our appointment and was not interested in what I was saying. He was extremely rude in our 10 minute appointment and was rushing to get my off of the phone. I don't understand how someone like him his in the mental health industry and treats his patients the way he does. I will not be going to back to him. I would not recommend him to ANYONE.

Dr Suncin is caring, he doesn’t rush, he listens and carefully counsels. I felt cared about and respected. He is also very kind and understanding. Very non-threatening. I highly recommend him.

Took my son to see him for a serious anxiety issue. He diagnosed him before assessing or talking to him for more than 20 minutes. He was extremely judgmental and dismissed my son’s feelings. He was trying to scold me like if I was a child. He basically prescribed my son meds that he didn’t need and told him to get a job or go to school. He is a danger to those struggling with mental health issues. I DO NOT recommend him to anyone!

He told me that all of the doctors who came before him were wrong. He wrote in my chart that i had an addiction problem because i had weed in my system on one drug test 3 years ago. He put meds that i did not need. When i told him that the meds did not work and had side effects he took me off them cold turkey. I am going thru withdraw. He tried to give me a med that causes weiggt gain and when i said tgat i didnt want to take it he read my weight from every appointment for the past 12 years and asked why i was worried about it now.

I saw suncin for 4 months last year. He is overbearing, rude,accusing. He had me on meditations that made my anxiety worse. I was alergic to another medication and he just kept upping the dosage.He caused my so much stress. I also advise anyone reading this to get coppies of your records. My records had lies about me. Quotes that I did not say! Facts about what we discussed were lied about. And they had most of my general info WRONG! I do not recommend suncin to anyone who wants to get better!
