Dr. Heikki Juhani Kostamaa, MD

Dr, Kostamaa is a gentleman of great skill and empathy. I have PTSD and Autism, and Dr. Kostamaa has always been most kind to me. He has saved my vision when diabetes almost blinded me.

My experience with Dr Kostamaa, is Excellent. I trust my eye health to him 100%. He is a first class physician.

Been with this doctor for over a year...he does not give me details of my progress and answers questions in a very vage manner like when I asked approximately how long will it take to heal? "it will take time to heal" he barely took the time to look at my eyes nor did he bother to even tell me that I had retina detachment and he is supposed to be a specialist...I went to another doctor and they ran a ultrasound on my eyes and realized not only had scar tissue but NY retina was detaching and had already been like that for approximately 6 months to a year...Dr. Kustammaa did not catch this on time. Also, for me to get an appointment wanted me, his patient to go see him in another county because he was not at his current office. It was like "if you want an appointment you are to follow me to my other office in a city about an hour from the base office" He was also rude to my family when we would come for follow up visits. Save yourself trouble, do not do business with this so called… doctor/specialist.
