Dr. Hernando Edwin Chong JR., DO

Dr. Chong is not only a top notch Physician, hes an amazing and caring person. I have been his patient for over like 10 years and I will not see any other Doctor. I highly recommend him .

Plan on being sent to a “specialist” for just about anything that needs medical attention. The two doctors here are dangerous to your health. More about the weight loss clinic than helping patients. Don’t be honest with them, it will be used against you. Equipment wasn’t functional for pre-op procedures.

Office staff and providers are Okay. However, if they make a mistake with your prescription or they call you regarding your lab results; then, good luck! They are a very busy office, but to have a prescription corrected takes multiple phone calls, which includes being on hold for long periods of time, leaving multiple messages and speaking to their answering service throughout the course of 4 days. Then, if they are very busy and you get their answering service; your call may get disconnected. If you tell them you don't remember the name of the nurse practitioner you saw, the rep will tell you: "well that's the reason they haven't called you ma'am" and they will hang up on you. Luckily my medication is not a life saving drug, but I can't imagine getting that type of service if I needed my medication to live. The same goes with your lab results. The nurse left a message stating my labs were ready, but didn't leave any additional information. I called 4 times and I have yet to… receive a call back. As I stated before, what if the patient has a life threatening condition? You have to keep calling and leaving messages until someone decides to call you back...., but it make take more than a couple of days....I'm still waiting...

I had a legitimate medical emergency, and he called me at least five times in a row while I was taking care of some work issues. I couldn't take the nonstop phone calls, so I answered. I explained I couldn't talk at that moment and asked if I could call him back. He hung up on me. When I was able to reach him, he yelled at me and said he didn't want me to return to the practice. I had a very positive experience with the nurse practitioner the day before, so I was understandably upset. I had never spoken to this doctor before and I hope to never speak to him again. Fortunately the nurse practitioner and, though I haven't met them, other physicians have better manners. This guy needs a major ego check.

excellent Dr.

He is an excellent doctor, but lately he does't have time to see patients himself and he is running all the time and sometimes doesn't pay attention of what he is prescribing. Then he says he never told you or prescribe you that medicine. Really that is why I left him as a doctor. I was paying to see the nurse instead of doc Chong. some of my coworkers still go to his office, but they also say they see a nurse, and they don't know of course they are no doctors. He lost quality for quantity.

Excellent. Highly profesional. Thorough.Careful. Attentive. One feels ar ease knowing there is no guess work. Interested in my medical history, symptoms and previous medical records. Ordered all (really) needed tests, indicated clearly my medical status and suggested initial treatment.

His bedside manners are impeccable and his knowledge in handling my needs are excellent as well. Thanks.

Dr Chong is everything you want your doctor to be, and he will even exceed your expectations. I have entrusted my health to him for over 6 years now, and he and his staff have always gone above and beyond to take the best possible care of me. They really put their heart into the job.
