Dr. Jasmine Wanda Moghissi, MD

In the past, I have been considered a pain to doctors as I research prescribed medications and medical advice and will not follow advice blindly. As a result, I have been through many doctors. Jasmine Moghissi is the first one I feel I can trust. She takes the time to understand the problem and will offer advice to help fix the issue, not simply hand out pills to mask the systems. It took me 57 years, but I feel I finally found a doctor I can rely on.

Dr. Moghissi is a breath of fresh air compared to all the other doctors and specialists I've seen, and there have been a lot (13, actually). She just "gets it," you know? She is a good listener, takes all the time necessary to discuss concerns and questions, efficient with testing and work-ups, understands how the whole body works together, has an up-to-date philosophy re: nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, and medicine...she fits exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for a doc to just write you an Rx and send you on your way or a warm fuzzy doc who will sugarcoat and just tell you everything is fine even when you are having symptoms, Dr. Moghissi is not the right doctor for you. She's realistic and will do what it takes to get your health to where it should be. Hope everyone else has the same positive experience I have had!

I usually only see Misty since she works late one day a week and that allows me to not miss work. She has been great so far.

I am so grateful to Dr. Moghissi. When I needed time she sat down and talked to me for 45 minutes. (I don't mind waiting because someone else might need the same thing I needed.) She is not a therapist, but gave me some excellent advise and the absolute right medical advise She has told me some hard truths (I am overweight.) but does not harp on it. I feel very lucky to have her as my doctor.

I have never got an accurate diagnosis from this doctor. She would always sit with a laptop and appears to be least bothered about my complaints; I never got a follow up on lab works. All I get on a regular basis is her newsletter in my email.

This Dr. is the most uncaring/unattentive Dr. you could ever go to and her bedside manners are awful. She acted as though my issues were not important and not to worry about it, etc. I couldn't believe it when she brought up her cosmetic product during my annual physical. She was talkin gbaout how she injects her lips with "filler" (or Botox) to enhance them! ugh... Tacky! Oh I could go on and on... I had some blood work done and her office never called me back with the results!! (almsot 3 weeks later) Finally I called up to get the results and the receptionsit had to go searching for them after she informed me that they don't have them! After looking around the office for them, she found than and than told me that I need to come in for an appt. to get my results! WTH? Take time off work and pay another $30 copay to get my results!? I don't have the time and $ for that, I'm a single mom of 3 young kids! The receptionist couldn't be an ruder too! A total thumbs down on this practice!

This practice is all about the money. I family practice is suppose to be about getting to know the patients. Dr.Molghessi doesn't even see her patients unless you want botox you will see one of her nurses. The staff tried to erroneously charge me for a missed visit that I never missed and then couldn't even tell me the day I supposedly missed and they made me wait and hour while the "researched" it coming up empty handed with a date. When I refused to pay the missed appointment fee they would not let me see the doctor. I was so sick I began to cry. Come to find out I had pneumonia! They actually refused a clearly sick patient (me) while crying after waiting an hour. Not to mention I had been a patient for 5 yeas. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.

The office staff are unreliable and untruthful. They have a 24hr cancellation policy or they charge you $100 but what that means is that if you don't make their appointment they will charge you regardless. I had an appointment and attempted to cancel it in person but didn't receive confirmation of the cancellation. I followed up twice with the secretary and also with the Doctor but I was told I wouldn't receive a confirmation. Ultimately they considered my initial request to cancel as a "Request to Cancel" not an actual cancellation and therefore charging me the $100 regardless. This is uncacceptable and I felt ripped off. I made the appointment just so that I wouldn't be errorneously charged the $100 but I will no longer be a patient. I wanted to warn others of their unprofessionalism and work ethics.

I moved to the area a few years ago, and Dr. Moghissi is one of the first family practice docs I've had that actually came into the room and spent time talking to me. My previous doctor literally spent less than five minutes with me, and left me feeling nearly whip lashed by the time he left. Dr. Moghissi takes the time to hear out my concerns, discuss my diagnoses with me and answer any questions I have. She always spends a great amount of time, is knowledgeable, and very caring. I highly recommend her.

In my experience this practice is all about the money. Patients rushed through appts. I didn't feel like anyone cared about me at all. They try to get you in for an appt. for every little thing and even charge for changing a prescription on the phone. Might as well just go to a walk in clinic and save some of that 100. they charge for an office visit.
