Dr. Loren Louis Friedman, MD

My wife and I made our first visit with Dd Friedman today to discuss the chronic groin pain I have suffered since a bike accident 20 years ago. We found the doctor very well informed and were amazed how much he knew about me! We plan to see him again in May.

Saw Dr. Friedman with my mom for the first time two months ago and my mother, almost 92, replied, "Aces" when I asked how she liked him and I concur. He was kind, listened, asked if we had any questions, was familiar with her history and she looks forward to seeing him again. While I'm sorry to have read other reviews where some who did not share our experience, all I can say was our experience was tops!

Dr. Friedman is one of the most compassionate physicians I have met. He's quite frankly one of the best.

This person cannot be called a doctor! Never let him visit a patient if you want this patient be alive and with a good mood. Very unpolite and rude person.

Dr. Friedman was my mother's doctor. Despite a long history of medical records stating a drug allergy---and despite the entreaties of family members---Dr. Friedman prescribed an increasing amount of a pain medication that elicited severe adverse reactions. He had no real regard or respect for his patient's welfare.

From the outset, I knew this doctor was special. Prompt and extremely kind, he listened very carefully to my pain issues, as well as the various medical issues that I was having that were not causing the pain, but were impacting it. He managed to diagnose the specific pain problem and some solutions (not all drug) that helped me to deal with my pain, and heal from the surgery that it resulted from. When I returned a month later, he again was very attentive in listening to my current status, and we were in agreement that it was time to discontinue the recommended course of treatment. Dr. Friedman even helped me determine the best method for tapering off the drugs. THANK YOU DR. FRIEDMAN (AND ED)!

Dr. Friedman is a kind, capable, nurturing physician who deals with palliative care. He takes good care of my mother.

I've seen this doctor for almost a year and he is not the same person. I don't know what's happened but he needs to either retire or stop interacting with patients.

I accompanied my fiance to an appointment we had last week and was appalled by this doctor's questions and behavior. He seemed to go out of his way to ask embarrassing questions and was incredibly accusatory of the motives for my wife seeking relief from her pain. While she may be under 50, she is in incredible pain and was referred to this man as a resource for getting help with pain medication. This doctor had the audacity to recommend my fiance take over the counter pain relievers for her condition. If you are looking for a doctor who is less qualified to provide medical advice than a poorly trained pharmacist, this is your guy.

With no personal disrespect intended, this gentleman is a certified quack as a physician. This opinion is not only shared by this patient, but by other doctors who deal with him. My experience with this physician reveals that he does not take time to review and understand critical information prior to making important decisions for treatment. Specifically, this gentleman does not think its important to either review or even accept medical records provided by other physicians. Even worse, once he finds out critical information, he blames the patient for not knowing medical details unfamiliar to a layman and consequently treats patients with a condescending attitude. He apparently believes a patient should have gone to medical school to understand what and how to explain his/her medical problems. There are many outstanding pain management physicians in the Washington, DC area. Make no mistake, this doctor is not one of them. Seek help elsewhere. This doctor is a disaster.
