I was a patient for about 10 years with a history (three generations) of family blindness due to glaucoma. I experienced some recent changes in my eyes so called for an appt. I called 3 times over a one month period and had to leave a message each time as no one answers the phone, and then finally asked for an appt. through the patient portal. No one ever replied to any request. I finally left a voice message stating how horrible they were to not respond, and I got a call back (I was not home) asking me to call back to speak with someone specific -- but with no direction how to do that -- just gave the same general number that no one answers. I called two other reputable glaucoma specialists within the area and spoke with someone immediately to schedule an appointment. Do not go near this horrible practice. The doctor may be good (not sure either way), but even if she is the best clinician, she bears responsibility for the truly horrible patient treatment by her front office.

I have seen Dr Smith twice. Both times I have waited over an hour beyond my appointment time to see her. Multiple people do various parts of the exam. Hand-off from one to the other requires long waits in the hallway outside the doctor's office. At one point, after waiting some time, I inquired and was told my paperwork had been misplaced by the next person I was supposed to see. While I believe Dr Smith is a very capable doctor, a visit to her office requires several hours and a lot of patience.

Dr. Smith is great! She is very good at communicating; has a nice demeanor; is well-trained;and has resolved my eye problems very well. Five stars in every category!

I have been seeing Dr. Smith for about 6 years, since being diagnosed with Glaucoma. She is easily approachable and includes me in her decisions about the timing of various tests and appointments. Her follow through is excellent and she utilizes all the latest technology whenever necessary. She is kind and articulate and very thorough.
