Dr. Joanne Crenshaw, MD

abusive receptionist who literally told me, after I explained that I had an eye emergency after getting stuck by a tree branch, that she had no appts for a week. Then I asked when's the next available, she replied, "We have nothing for the whole summer!", Then I asked when do you have an appt with dr Crenshaw?. She said not until September. I said okay, please schedule for September because im new to the area. The receptionist Then said in a harrassing tone, "do you have a medical reason to see Dr Crenshaw?!" I said of course, and explained that I've been going to opthamolgists for 25 years. This sadist, then started to argumentatively grill me in an hostile and condescending way asking bizarrely what is the difference between an optometrist and opthamolgist and her that she is not talking to a novice and that ive managed multiple family members'eye care and have made the same kind of appt I was requesting from her for 25 years. The woman became beligerent and literally refused to make… any appt until I listened to her speech about how Dr Crenshaw is like royalty and if I want to see her for an appointment, it will be on this abusive woman's terms. She was obnoxious, and unprofessional. After telling her calmly over and over that I had never been treated like this while trying to schedule a simple appointment, she proceeded to push and push to get me to tell her what is the medical term for what I want to see Dr Crenshaw. I said that's what the dr determines not me. Then I told her that she should never work in the medical field because she was intent on hurting and harrassing sick and injured people. The woman replied that this is what Dr Crenshaw instructed her to do so she was following drs orders. She then hung up on me. What a disgrace. And I dont care who says dr Crenshaw is a good dr. If she instructs her receptionist to abuse emergency eye patients like this, it is a reflection of her character and how little they respect patients and how much they think of themselves. They do not care about the health and well-being of people clearly. If this receptionist tries to lie about the horrible treatment I received, its all recorded.

Dr. Crenshaw fit me in on a busy Friday afternoon - she diagnosed my condition - found a problem and treated it quickly - she took time to explain what was wrong and gave detailed descriptions of what my next steps are - her reception area is efficient and Karen and Tarik gave great customer service on my visits to her office!

The regular eyes exam cost $105 instead of $40 copay. I had MDIPA and always pay $40 when go see eye doctors. I came here 3 years ago and only pay $40, now they charged my $105. Ask if for you go, I felt so stupid and being robbed because they didn't tell you clearly upfront. Very bad business.

Dr. Crenshaw is amazing! The absolute best bedside manner!

Dr. Crenshaw has a fantastic bedside manner; moreover, her diagnosis was spot on, and she gave me sample antibiotic drops to use for a corneal abrasion, rather than a prescription that would have cost me money! So happy to have found her; we are leaving are old opthamology practice and switching to her immediately!

Absolutely thorough and very very professional. Each visit with Dr. Crenshaw, spanning over 10 years now has been the same. She has never taken chances with my eyes and takes the time to really explain what is going on. Rare in today's medical market.

I have been seeing Dr. Crenshaw since she firt came into Dr. Sunga's practice, after Dr. Sunga retired Dr. Crenshaw moved out to Sterling, which is a hike for me, but I refuse to give her up as my doctor!!! She is the best at what she does, I have never had a bad visit in that office, NEVER in Ten years has there been a bad experience, I would trust no one else with my eyes!!!
